Like the title says - I have my own buckle and need a belt for it. Any suggestions? There are thousands of google hits and I’d much rather have a recommendation from someone. (Before anyone suggests Gary, I’m looking for something that maybe has some embossing or a pattern.)
Have you checked Western-oriented tack shops or leather places? At least in my area, I know you can sometimes get nice belts (embossed, etc) to put your own buckle on if you ask around.
Alas, I am in Massachusetts and have no Western-related bricks-and-mortar stores anywhere near me. There are too many online places for me to know which is reliable and does good work.
Chuck Pinnell, his stuff is gorgeous. http://www.pinnellcustomleather.com/
Pricey but worth it.
Another vote for Chuck.
There are usually tons of belt blanks for sale on eBay.
I was going to say Chuck as well! That man is amazing!
I like belts by Nocona. Leather is good quality, many different styles/patterns, and all the buckles come off with snaps.
Another vote for Chuck.
Do you have any local ren fairs? That’s where I found 3 of mine, all for under 30.00, and beautifully made.

Big SECOND for Chuck - beautiful work. He has done several needlepoint belts for me with amazing results.
Yep- Chuck Pinnell is a rockstar!!
Wow, I think I just found SO’s Christmas present. Chuck Pinnell’s site looks amazing!
I am in love… Yeah it’s loud, but I.WANT.THEM.
wow… those are gorgeous!!!
Another vote for Chuck!
I’ve looked at the Pinnell website and it looks like the things are too expensive for me even to inquire. Anyway, I’m looking more for a low-key, tooled or maybe some fancy stitching, more along Western lines. Thanks for the Nocona suggestion!
Maybe Etsy? Seems like there is everything on there.
Nocona is nice. SO has several, and the one he wears the most I love and am constantly hiding it from him. It doesn’t work, but I try…

Very true, Etsy has, like, EVERYTHING. It’s crazy.
