The commentators just mentioned that Totilas had been sold and would be remaining in the US. Anyone know who might have bought him?
wow!
HOly crap REALLY???
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
OMG, that is so exciting that he might be staying here! Maybe I will get to see him in the flesh one day after all!! I am so curious to know who bought him.
OK. I confess. I’ve been looking for a competitive schoolmaster…:lol::lol:
I have seen the reports as well. The first potential owner that comes to mind are Ravel’s owners. They are the founders of Yahoo & would be able to swing a purchase price like that. Of course, that is just speculation. I can’t wait to find out the details.
Yes, Ravel’s owners immediately popped into my mind also!

Yeah, but wouldn’t you feel bad when you “only” got a 75%

That would be cool, especially if she brought him here to CA even for a short time! I see her at many of the dressage shows in Woodside, although she only rides her less famous horses.
So excited that Totilas will stay here! I was watching him and trying to figure out how to finance my trip to Europe, seeing him live just moved to the top of my bucket list!!! Let me add that I can’t even imagine how Mr. Gal must feel to leave that incredible horse behind.
Mary Alice Malone could swing it too…
I think it is very sad if it is true. I want to see the pair, not Toto with someone else.

He’s got a full sister also confirmed at GP, who he’s been holding in the wings. I think he knows the business part of it and he’s got a few nice horses so…
the horse has quietly been for sale for awhile.
I’m with Coreene. I think half of Toto’s magic comes from his partnership with Gal. They make a lovely pair, and Gal always rides him so forgivingly. I think it’s great that I might have an option to see him live in person without flying overseas, but I (unfortunately) bet that he will not do as well with someone else.
Every horse is for sale for the right price. Someone offered the right amount for Toto, but I highly doubt that Edward made the choice to sell.
I’m with Coreene too. If it’s true, I pity the person who takes over the ride, who will never be able to live up to the expectations
Agree. There is nobody in USA imo that is a better rider for Tota than Gal. If he has to come here, then please let it be Seffan. There are a couple females that I pray it is not.
I would be sad to see him with another rider. I liked the pair.

If it’s true, I’m wondering if anyone can ride that horse like Edward Gal can. Time will tell, I guess.
OH MY !
WOW ~
I do think he and Gal are a wonderful pair. I could see Toto with Steffen Peters though, but that’s about it.
