Who here has Guaranteed Gold offspring?

Who here has Guaranteed Goold offspring?!
Would love to know what you are doing with then and/or your plans.
I just got my boy a month ago and couldn’t be happier with him…everything about him is amazing!!!

I’ve had three. I’m keeping the last one, a filly, for myself. She’s only a year old so I’m not doing anything with her yet but I’ll point her towards the hunters eventually.

I have a grandson; a long yearling. Lovely boy; great shoulder; good mover. Big. Nicely put together. Fantastic disposition - very sweet and laid back. He’s light palomino and listed for sale but if he stays sweet, I wouldn’t mind holding onto him and crossing him on my DWB mare. We’ll see. He will make an excellent 3Day horse methinks but will also show very nicely in hunters and jumpers.

I have a lovely golden palomino yearling anglo filly by Guaranteed Gold. She has a fabulous disposition which was a relief as I’m familiar with Arabs so this was a step outside my comfort zone. She’s going to be big by the looks of things. She’s already taller than my 2 full grown Arab mares as only a yearling. She is a very nice mover, isn’t spooky, quiet to work around and super friendly. Numerous people from various horse backgrounds have remarked to me about how striking she is  I am really not sure what I’ll do with her once she’s a bit older. I compete in endurance riding so would be curious to see how she would do in that sport but I think she would look fabulous in the hunter ring as well.
In 2014 I’m going to trying breeding a bay Arab mare back to GG and see what a buckskin Anglo would be like. Do like a horse of a different color

Two brand new posters suddenly find CoTH to post about GG.

It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these threads I guess.

Funny, but that popped into my head too! Have seen too many crazy things on this board to not notice odd coincidences like this

Sorry, I didn’t think it was a bad thing at all. I’m excited about my boy and wanted to hear from others. And clearly this is the reason why I haven’t posted on this forum before…so thanks for the great 1st experience!!!

But thank you to the ppl who actually responded to the post…I really appreciate it.

Well, I’m far from a first time poster here. Golden boy, enjoy your new guy. I only know of good things about GG. Unfortunately you’ll find some of the same old fan club types on this forum. Ignore and best of luck with him.

COTH Forums: Where the knowledge is great; snarkiness is queen; and a flame suit mandatory. Zips mine up.

I have a GG buckskin daughter. Bought her in-utero, sold her a few years back, and just bought her back. She arrived a few weeks ago and is in foal to Arctic Blue.

Those of you who have GG offspring old enough to be under saddle – what do they do? I’d be interested to see photos of them in action.

TC alter brag threads are so 2005.

The Facebook page for this sire has quite a few pictures of offspring doing this and that, if that’s of any help.

I have a gorgeous 5 yr old GG gelding. He did the A’s Baby Green division this summer and has stunning jump style, really bascules. He is a buckskin with 4 tall stockings, a white face and a belly splash and is a sweetheart. Great personality.

Not a bad thing at all! Sorry if you thought I was mean. I’ve just been @ COTH so long that 2 newbies on a thread about palominos triggered my spidey senses  That’s all I was commenting on. Nothing aimed at you in particular.

Three now. And as a long time (and very jaded) poster I will admit I thought the exact. same. thing as Neddy and Janeway.

It’s nice to see a few of the offspring out there doing jobs. For a while it seemed like there would be a short (well-publicized  ) stint at hunter breeding and then…nothing.

McBays, yours must be the Gold Plated horse? He looks lovely.

I have a lovely 6 year old 17 hh ++ mare. Reg. tb. Buckskin colour. She is a lovely mover and jumps in great form. She isn’t spooky and quite sweet. Ou will hopefully show baby green in 2014. We have just had a lot on our plate so have been slow getting her out.

Thanks so much for all the replies.
My guy is 7 I just got him and he is actually Buckskin.

When I got him his was a jumper and my plans with him is dressage. So pretty much going back to basics right now and everyday he is getting better and better and have our first clinic coming up…so excited!! I would also like to do some eventing he loves to jump but I have work on my confidence for that.

But I too would love to see photos… I would add one of my guy but have no idea how???

I have an OLD one  …I’ve had her for 8 years almost to the day…She was ridden and jumped at home weekly. She is now 5.5 months pregnant. PM me and I will be glad to send you some pictures of her in “action” …She is also on the GG facebook page.

SH:)

Me neither. I thought I could just copy a picture from Facebook and drop it in there but not the case. Here is a link to one

I have a whole album of her  She may not be special to some people on here but she is special to me
