Winter breeches

Anybody know of curvy fit winter breeches that don’t have seams in unfortunate places?

I’ve been wearing Horze pull ons that don’t have much seaming in the crotch area, but got a pair of their winter ones and between those seams and sitting a pony trot :flushed::flushed::flushed::flushed::flushed:.

The winter Horze Grand Prix are amazing!

Ok. Will give them a shot. Their winter active tights were :flushed::flushed::grimacing::grimacing::flushed::flushed:

I have similar to these breeches with the zip and full seat. Horze, but I think a different model, discontinued, but also from EEO :).

I love them. I also have Kerrits sit tight winter breeches which are pull on. Also very comfy but the Horze fit better than the Kerrits. The Kerrits bulge a little. It’s just an aesthetic problem, they feel fine.

My favs are my Tropical Rider winter breeches. Super warm and no unfortunate seams!

My favorite winter riding tights are Tropical Riders also. But beware, they ARE warm and unless it’s below 45F (for me), they are too warm for any serious training rides. But when it’s in the 20’s and 30’s, they are the best IMHO.

Do you know if they ship to Canada? Which seat leathers do you enjoy most?

They do! I’m in Canada (Ontario)

I just did the Clarino extended knee patch and they’re great. The patch goes basically right up to the crotch and just doesn’t have the seat part.

I’ve never ordered their other seat material options, just trying to keep the cost low.

Thanks! I will have to check them out.

I prefer the lambskin full seat myself. They aren’t cheap but they are worth the cost.

I’ll check the TR’s w extended patch, the full seat seam might be a bit much w the extra fabric…

Can you share why? I am curious as I haven’t seen these in person but I hear so many good reviews! How is the fit?

The winter breeches are of course a bit thicker, enough for me to notice when sitting trot (I take a narrow twist saddle so it’s a function of me not having much room for extra width either in the saddle twist or my breeches )

I find the lamb skin a bit softer than the deerskin and it stays softer after washing (I use Murphy’s oil soap). But the deerskin is quite nice as well. My personal opinion, you can’t go wrong with either one

The warmest and most comfortable winter breeches I’ve tried are the kerrits sit tight ones. I also find them rather flattering. But they are thick and if my boots weren’t a bit loose on the calf, I’d have a problem.

I recently bought a pair of dublin thermal active tights and REALLY like the way they fit and they’re super comfortable. BUT they are not that warm. And while they’re doing fine in a mild fall climate, I doubt they will do much in the winter.

I know they are a bit pricey but the Pikeur winter breeches are sooooooo comfy and warm. I have a pair in the Lucinda cut and another in the Candela model and I pretty much live in them all winter.

Might be TMI but I had Tropical Riders a number of years ago and while they were great in really cold weather, there was a serious camel toe issue. It was very odd but maybe had to do with the waist being too low? Has anyone else had the issue? I’d love to try them again but it was bad and I don’t normally have that issue with breeches.
