Woman Shot at Barisone Farm

Quote the people who said it was, please.

Ditto. The age of the subject of the article, like the Olympic record of MB, should be very easy to verify.

Interesting that LK claimed she ā€œdid not recallā€Ā placing the call to CPS, according to the Times article.

This took 10 seconds to find, and there are more earlier in this thread as well as many on FB. Not to mention Wachowich.

Hereā€™s another, after a quick search for the word ā€œdeservedā€:

Wowee! For some reason, I never clicked on this link even though it grew exponentially. Then I saw an article in the New York Timesā€¦ Now I know why this thread reached 206 pages!

There were a small number of posts in this thread weeks ago that expressed that perspective. None persistent, recent, or to any extent accepted by the community. I assumed ladyj was responding to recent commentary (here, rather than in known cesspools like Dressage Hub) rather than posting a delayed reaction to a handful of extreme posts in August and September. Guess not.

The FunckyFilly one was just a few pages ago (post 4054, page 203 for me), and had 19 likes.

Perhaps because I am simply closely associated with several people who have been LKā€™s victims in the past.

Two weeks ago. I thought the complaint was about commentary since the NYT article.

Whether it had 19 likes or 0 (in a 4,000+ post thread with 600,000+ views), the idea that shooting someone is a proportional response to harassment is a minority opinion around here, and one that hasnā€™t been promoted since the thread reopened. I guess I donā€™t see the point of trying to stake out a slice of moral high ground, under such circumstances.

Just in case anyone missed the separate thread, the wacky guy from New Jersey who posted on here about his oddball interest in horses was caught. His posts were probably not seen by that many people, since the moderators cleaned them up pretty promptly. But it was a strange and bizarre addition to a thread that did not need any help in that direction.

sure, this is the post Iā€™m responding to most recently. sorry I didnā€™t quote it, but it was the last post when I started writing.

But again, a lot of you are just awful, so it really doesnā€™t matter.

I am calling you insane and awful.

BLBGP I believe you reap what you sow. Iā€™m not victim shaming but I agree with eggbutt. Both were responsible for each of their egregious behavior.

Valuing accountability for oneā€™s own behavior, including both parties in the altercation under discussion =/= an assertion that shooting someone is ok.

And throwing barbs in the general direction of anyone who doesnā€™t see things the way you do does not make you seem less awful than anyone else on this thread.

Itā€™s kinda funny how hard people will work to get everyone else to tuned into the black-and-white version of the world that they seeā€¦

More insane and awful than calling CPS to mess with someone while living on their property, then (allegedly) sitting on your porch and waiting to see what happens? I think not.

This phrasing gets me every time. Whose porch was it??

It was MBā€™s porch. Just sayingā€¦

BTW, in my ā€œrarefied world of dressageā€, Iā€™m going to have to apologize to the barn guy. Something slipped my mind while I was putting things away in the tack room before leaving the barn this evening.

I left a pile of poop in the barn aisle.

Iā€™m so sorry.

Itā€™s a shame that Barisoneā€™s lawyer refused a request comment. And a shock (though not at all a shame) that Susan Wacko Witch refused too!

Maybe it is a shame, but I think itā€™s a smart move. If I were his lawyer, Iā€™d do the same.
