Womanly-sized riders, unite!

I can’t tell you all how tickled I am that this thread is still going. I think we need to petition the mods to add it to the “favorites” section! I haven’t been hanging out in here much because I’ve been A) broke and B) busy earning money so I won’t be C) broke. I’m so glad you’re all still here and helping each other look great a-horseback!

I’m happy to say that I’ve lost 48 pounds and am slimming my way out of my bigger clothes. I may even be able to buy clothes off the rack now, although I don’t know if my calves will ever be a normal size, so I’ll still need you when I have money to buy boots!

Alas, the favorites forum doesn’t allow for new posts, so that would be a “thread killa!”

Maybe you can reference it in the forum with a link to the actual thread?

Bummer!

50% off prochaps on horseloverz.com today! They have XX-Large!

TOTD has fuller figure breeches on sale! Only $38. I have a pair and they really are cut more generously in the hip. Fabric is heavier, so not great for hot summer days but a great breech. Just wanted to let people know!

Ladies…I found these boots…anyone tried the Devon Aire Camden Zip Field Boot???

The XW in my size goes to 17-3/4" width!!!

As much as I detest Horseloverz, I just saw that they have ProChaps (the nicest half chaps I’ve ever had–way better than Ariat and Tredstep, IMO) on sale for 50% off. Tons of calf sizes up to XXL (so up to 20" or so), and heights from 15-19". I cannot express how much I love these chaps.

Unfortunately, they don’t make them short enough for me. I can’t win with tall boots.

Looking for dress boots to fit the larger calf? SmartPak will be carrying a line of dress boots by Fuller Fillies starting in April. They will run about $300. Don’t yet have a picture up but will fit through a 20" calf.

Any womanly riders in western new york- there is a black 16/18 tuffrider plain hunt coat on consignment at countrymax in farmington this weekend for $30. It’s in very nice shape.

I hope that I can find a pair to fit. I have a very wide calf and tiny feet…by the time I get up to a calf size that fits, I’m 2 or 3 sizes above my shoe size. In addition, while I don’t need a shorter calf, my legs are short and my calf muscle ties in VERY low on my leg, almost at my ankle. I’ve given up hope on finding off-the-shelf boots to fit my weird legs…

It has to be pretty close, if it’s not!

Hm…half chaps at horseloverz…better go check it out!

I posted the other day about them…I ordered some in XXL and they are awesome! I have about an 18.5in calf with breeches on and they fit great, with plenty more stretch possible.

I personally, have had good luck with horseloverz…they got here within 4days or less.

I’ve always had good luck with horseloverz, too. Their stuff is not always the highest quality, but I’ve gotten some name brand stuff from them off ebay for amazing prices.

Help me girls!!!

I can’t seem to search this thread correctly, because I suspect this is answered somewhere… but…

Can anyone tell me how Ovation & TuffRider show jackets run?

RJ Classics is a 16 right now. I’m wondering if I can squeeze into a 20 in either of the above two? Street clothes tops are XL, or 16 these days…

I’m so disapointed. I ordered the Prochaps from Horseloverz.com. I’ve been wanting to get a pair for a year or so, so when I saw them for 50% off, I ordered a pair of the XL 19". The size chart says that the XL is supposed to fit a 17"-18" calf. I measure 18" around my calf with britches on. I tried to put them on, but they are at least 3-4" too small around my calf :frowning: I laid them out on the floor and measured them at their widest point: 15". They must be irregulars. How would 15" of material fit around 18" of leg? They better reimburse the $16 I paid for shipping. I only live 3 hours from thier place. If it was less then two, I’d just drive up there. I’ll be calling them tomorrow.

Ala… sounds like they were labelled wrong. The half chaps I got from them were generous! They should make good…
