Womanly-sized riders, unite!

I tried on the FF Foxy jacket a couple of years ago and LOVED it - I didn’t have the cash to get it then, but one of these days I’m gonna get it! Coreene, that’s so cool you got the Vixen - sounds like you got a pair of breeches to match the MyShell jacket? Oh, Lucky You!

Meanwhile, I saw this on sale the other day at Equestrian Collections - plus size hunt/melton coat. Looks nice and a good price.

I have the Foxy jacket–beautifully made–but it is just too big for me. Should have bought a smaller size. (How many times can I actually say that? :D)

Does anyone have the Eventer dressage frock shown on the SmartPak website? The stretch fabric and mesh lining really appeal to me–I die in any kind of wool coat in summer…

I received my new pair of Equitector dress boots–ordered the Regular XW instead of the Short XW this time. They fit almost perfectly (a little loose at the top which could probably be adjusted) and are the same quality as the ones I ordered three years ago. Very pleased with them and Equitector’s service.

Anyone try these schooling tops? Any recommendation for good fitting schooling shirt. I am kind of tired of wearing old T-shirts when I ride and also would like some nice shirts when I take my young boy off property to school. Thanks!

I get cotton shirts from the mens dept at Walmart, the kind that button up the front and have button down pockets. They are longer than womens shirts so they cover the butt yet don’t cling to the body so extra fluff doesn’t show. The button pockets are great to put a phone into or a few horse cookies. Even smeared with slobber they look good enough to go to the store. I often wear them when I’m not riding to go out in because they are comfortable.

Curvy Cowgirl Rocks!!!

Apryl is the BEST!!! I ordered the MyShell jacket in the brown/black. I love this jacket so comfy & blocks the wind. Just what I was looking for. There was an issue with the jacket and she sent me another one for replacement. She let me keep the defective one:yes: She’s awsome. I can use the defective one doing all the dirtie jobs around the barn.

I also got the FF jean jeanies. Very comfy. They don’t scream riding pants at the super market.

I’m waiting on the feed back on the FF dress boots. I really don’t need an other pair of boots but I’d like to know how the foot runs on these.

I also discovered that the Serendipity Coolmax boot sock fits my really fat calf without stopping blood flow. They come in neat colors, too.

Shipping to Canada

I am looking for field boots and have looked about the Hispar and Treadstone. I am leaning towards the Treadstone, but now the next step of my problem.

I am in Canada, so I am looking for tack shops that carry them and ship to Canada.

Has anyone done this and know of a good shop?

Thanks

Dover has the Ariat Prix Sleeveless Polo on sale for $19.95 (usually $39.95). Sizes up to 2X.

This baby BREATHES! It’s very cool and comfortable and flattering. A little less form-fitting than the comparable version from LL Bean. I got black and wisteria. The wisteria is a pretty shade, not too pale.

I practically live in sleeveless polos for riding and photo work in the summertime so this was a great find.

I bought a pair of new low rise tuffriders with tags still on at a consignment shop. This is my 4th pair of breeches. Nothing has fit as well as these do. They hug my curves in all the correct places and I am THRILLED with them. I’d order more in future. Lot of the brands people rave about I can’t always find to try on in real life. I worry about shipping and returns.

I second the low rise tuffriders. I had them in fullseats and loved them. They always fit right, they were comfortable, and I wore them for years (7 I think, if I’m counting right), and I wore them a lot! I liked how they stayed flatering even if I gained/lost a couple pounds.

MEP, you do know that a mere whisper of the word “melton” has me swooning, right? Divine.

Moisture wicking golf shirts at Wal-Mart

Check out the men’s section at Wal-Mart for cool-max moisture wicking type shirts. I found a lovely blue one last year in a “golf” shirt style (really just a polo) for $12 and wished I would have gotten the red as well. This year I’ve found the same in blue, black, white, an odd pinkish color, purple, and two different varieties of blue stripes…but no red :(. Same price…$12…and they really do work as far as being cooler and wicking the moisture away.

So far it’s held up well, and I wore it a lot last summer.

Thanks for the heads up. I will go and look this morning. Got a horse show the next two weekends and I’m not enthused with temps in the 90’s.

I recently bought a striped one for work–$8 and very lightweight. I am going to go back and get a solid white one for showing! I think the one I bought is a Faded Glory shirt.

Good tip, Mtngirl!

Link to the low rise tuffriders in big sizes please???

My girlfriend gets the golf shirts at wally world to ride in too and she loves them. Im going to go check them out because she is always much cooler than I am in them.

Anyone received their FF dress boots yet?

And does anyone know if FF will be at WEG?

The Curvy Cowgirl will be with all the FF clothes. At least, that’s what Apryl said a few months back - it might be up on her website already, I know she lists the shows and expos she’s attending.

Oh my… better save up more than I planned! Luckily we are only paying $53 to fly up and $78 to fly home and get to stay at my friends aunts house for free while they are in Ireland and our rental car is only $35/day split between 4 adults!

Has anyone purchased from Horse & Rider Etc.
They seem to have some decent plus size clothing.
I am a bit hesitant with on-line purchasing, so am looking to see if anyone else has aome experience with them.

FF at WG

Hey there – I have a Vendor booth at WEG - pretty excited about that. We will have all of the FF stuff, including the boots, chaps and a sample of her new saddle. Apryl

A SADDLE!!! TELL US MORE!!!
Dee:D:eek::slight_smile:

I’m wary of the FF tall boots. They’re made in India. Not exactly the best track record for high quality leather goods.

I am sure that we’ll get the reviews once people have them. Until then I am not passing judgement.
