PSA: the Wellington Collection show shirts are great! Lavender, light blue, pink, white and perhaps yellow, can’t remember the latter for sure.
Update
Just as a quick update, Apryl has indeed been in touch with me to explain the houseguest situation.
She is working hard to obtain a pair of boots for me, and has apologised profusely for the many hitches in our previous transaction; I will update the thread again when they are snugly on my feet.
Dee
Too bad you were jerked around eight times on the boots in the first place.
I’m singing an old George Strait song.

I bought the lilac off of Ebay. Room fit. Launders beautifully. Haven’t found the pink one yet, but will be looking. Wished they’d make a peach and a teal or something besides the standard, stock colors; although very glad they re making these. Now for some dressage show shirts.

NC Sue, Hispars in plus sizes come direct from Pakistan. Door to door in about four days. I absolutely love mine.[/QUOTE]
Thanks, Coreene. Off to Ebay to find the seller. Ooooohhhh, the brown is lovely. Got to stick with traditional black for now but one can dream. I just placed my order for dress boots. I’m wider than the wide but not as wide as the plus. Went ahead and got the wide. Guess I can always wear thicker socks. I’ll give a review when they arrive and after I ride a few times.
Dee, hopefully it will be ninth time’s a charm, but she lost me at at “house guest.”
Sue, when I find the pink I will PM you a link. Have not seen peach or teal, but love the lavender and blue. Lovely shades of both colors.

Thanks, Coreene - I am optimistic that this will end up with me having boots on my feet…mind you, I am going to go look at the Hispars as well as any other options out there, because I think every well attired rider has to have some versatility in his or her wardrobe!

Horka breeches
Does anyone know who it was here that sold the Horka breeches? I bought some a couple of years ago and I’d like to get some more but I can’t find the sellers info.
Marieke sold them, and you can almost always find them on eBay (she sold them on eBay too, not sure if she still does). They are absolutely gorgeous, very well made and super quality.
yes, she’s Marieke on COTH, but her ebay seller ID is equinefashionandtack, but it looks like she has nothing available for now.
Not sure but the last 2 feedbacks indicate she is taking a leave of absence. Hope all is well with her.

Thanks for the info. I hope she is OK too.
Do an eBay search for Horka in All Categories, there are usually at least a dozen pair for sale.
Ok. We have lots of discussions on clothes, but what kind of saddles does everyone have.
I am currently looking for a close contact preferably, or an all purpose.
I expect and 18.5" and needs to fit a large, high withered TB.
I am leaning towards Antares, but wondered what other plus sized women were using.
I am using a vintage FelsBach AP (precursor to Courbette I think) for a horse with a similar build. I would love to hear other feedback too so I can start saving my pennies toward an upgrade! I was very disappointed that my (also vintage) Stubben didn’t fit him though!
Dee
wide horse, average wither and topline…
Black Country Wexford wide, 18"
Love it!
The saddle I ride in most often is an 18" Schleese. It’s a dressage model, but they have a jumping saddle and a cross-country/AP as well. It’s custom-fit to my horse (and if bought new can be custom fit fort he rider too; I bought mine used) and it’s like riding on a couch. The only thing that’s not perfect is the flap length, which is a bit long for me, but that’s a by-product of buying it used. I love it!
I also have a Wintec AP (the old one, not to new)with wool flocking that I love. I think it’s an 18" but could be 17.5". Some people don’t like the position Wintecs put you in, but my position is correct and it’s great for trails and everyday schooling. I’ve had it for ten years and it still looks new.
My cc is a Collegiate Equilibrium Apprentice(again, the old Argentine kind). It’s a 17.5", but also came in an 18.5" (which I’d buy today). It’s a great saddle, very nice-looking, and wonderful to ride in. I wouldn’t buy a new Collegiate of the Made in India variety, but if you can find a used one in good condition, its a wonderful saddle. The model I have came in a variety of knee roll/pad combinations: both, neither, roll only, padded flap only, so you could get exactly what you wanted. Mine has a padded flap, but no knee roll.
I’m all woman, and I’m a size 6.
I have a Kieffer Wien and a Thornhill Vienna for dressage, a Thornhill Berlin and a Stubben Siegfried for jumping, and a Crates pimped out silver show saddle for just walking around in (I am not joking, I always wanted a pimped out show saddle ).
My boy is a 16.2 TB.
I have a 17.5" County Eventer for jumping and an 18.5" County Competitor for Dressage.
The Eventer was bought used for my part-boarder, hence the smaller seat size. I can, however, ride in it very comfortably. It is also the one my trainer uses when dobbin gets schooled over fences.
The Competitor was bought new and fitted to both horse and me.
On the same gelding I’ve had a Collegiate Jessica (Ruiz Diaz) circa 1997, a Kieffer München, and a Thornhill Zurich. They all worked – but none as well as the County.
My guy seems to really like the way they fit. To see how big he and I are, take a look at my profile pic.
