Womanly-sized riders, unite!

Just FYI

I order the Equine Couture spinnaker jacket from Equestrian Collections in a 1X. It came and its actually kind of big. The sleeves come down to my middle knuckles on my fingers. Its not HUGE but I would like it to be a little more tailored but if I had a sweater or something under it, it would be ok. This one is on sale in sizes 1X, 2X, and 3X (the reg sizing is on sale too) but they are nicely made. I thought being a “trendy” brand more geared towards the younger crowd that their items would run small but not so!

Try the Wellington Collection coats. They are great. Sorry, but I really think the FF show coats are crap. Too shiny and cheap looking.

I don’t know if Hispar does short; eHimalayas on eBay has a size chart.

So where are you guys moving stuff faster, on Tack Trader or the Bits and Barter Board? Or eBay?

beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

I put some stuff on B&B, but most of my selling is through ebay. More of a world market.
Pro of B&B no fees, con, not as much traffic.
Con of Ebay: fees Pro: traffic.

Wink wink!
I have some nice NEW womanly sized goodies…

I have some nice Cotton Ginny winter vests that are great - need to get them tailored down as they are too big, but man are they warm!

I hope those are a joke…they appear to be a rendering, not a photo.

According to the FB page, they haven’t yet arrived in stores, but are being produced in a very limited number. You can see the actual fabric in the album “Swatches”. I am picky about colours - don’t like combos of blue and brown, or brown and pink.
As much as I love leopard print…I don’t see it being a fit for a North American market.

Naa, I think leopard has run it’s course in regular streetwear, and was even more short lived in riding fashion. Too much, too late.
have seen it done in Equissentials, and even on stick thin people it’s tacky.

I got that FF email announcing the new line… I took a quick look…

Ew… LOL…

Anyways, in case anyone doesn’t know… Dubarry now makes their Galway boot in an ‘extrafit’ version. I wear a 9.5-10 and 17 inch calves. They fit over breeches and jeans with knee socks, etc… and I can even stuff sweatpants into them. Very comfortable, soles are holding up and are actually completely waterproof. Happy I made the investment

Hello, I’m not that “up to speed” on all these different web sites- Can you reccommend where would be the best place to advertise my large collection of “real woman sized” clothing and such. I had to retire from showing because someone decided to drink & drive- and then run into me, anyway I have been off internet for a while - and I survived! If anyone has any suggestions please let me know I have so much stuff some hasn’t even been opened & I’m not skilled with putting up photos ect… So if anyone has any reccomendations can you please let me know. Many thanks!

We at Bits and Barter loff to see womanly-sized stuff posted!

Merci, good to know as I have some clothes to offload, plus a bunch of Sprenger bits.

What are you all doing for winter breeches? It was 35 @ the barn tonight. My Kerrits tights just didn’t cut it. I wear a 1x Kerrits, a 18 in jeans. Any suggestions/sizes?

Boinks are my go to breeches in the winter. I have two pairs of the Riding Skins, one knee patch, one full seat, just going into my 3rd Saskatchewan winter with them, the are cosy warm, wash and dry well, and generous in size.

They are not the most elegant of things, but they are WARM;)

Haffy, did you get them on this side of the border or did you order them from the States?
