I had to post that I bought a pair of the hispar’s and they were not correct on the foot size at all. I got a 7 wide and could not even get my foot into them. I generally wear a 6.5c
I also tried another company on ebay and had a horrible time, the boots were custom and came with two different foot sizes that were as close as I can tell a 5 and a 5.5? really weird. ended up challenging them on my credit card because they acted like they could not speak english at all. So I would say, oversea’s may be cheaper but it’s horrible trying to get problems taken care of. Thank god discover card finds it that way also.
I do have a semi custom pair that I had gotten from 18-24 back in 98, they were absolutely great, unfortunately they are wearing out and can not find anything else to fit.
I did also try the new Mountain horse boots, they have a wide range of fit due to alot of elastic in the back. I couldn’t get them zipped, right past my ankle…sigh. looked like the calf would fit, thought it really weird that it would be so tight in that area.
For breeches I like the Tempi’s from Dressage ext. Also got a pair of the FITS breeches with the very different full seats and I LIKE THEM. Didn’t realize a lot of the tightness I felt in the full seat was not from the material but from the full seat not stretching. Can’t bother not getting leather full seats, everything else wears out too quick. Would rather pay $200 for something that I still use 5 years later than have to rebuy in one year
Tropical riders are worth the money also. I did not like the ElizabethG even when custom ordered and I had more success with the Equissentials off the shelf than when I had them custom made(go figure that one) I really like the Arista breeches, have 4 pairs of them that are going strong and almost 10years old. Best to get them at Rolex the first day of sales when the shops have all the ‘odd’ sizes out on sale to clear them out.
