Has anyone bought anything from Fuller Fillies? Am looking for some info about quality, fit etc.
Thanks!
Dee
I answered this on Dee’s separate thread, but thought I’d post it here as well. I just saw Fuller Fillies products in person, and tried on a LOFFLY jacket. It was a smaller size than I would have ordered online, but it fit me perfectly (so I’d say sizes are generous). I will eventually order the black dressage coat. (nice polyester fabric, light weight for hot summer, with velvet collar - sweet!). They also have beautiful hunt coats in nice windowpane / tweedy / plaids in 100% wool. Didn’t try on breeches, but they looked nice.

They carry them at:

P.S. Go Coreene! You must be a mere shadow of your former self

Thank you, MEP! I am now 47.5 lbs down, which is fab but it is also very interesting because my entire center of gravity has changed. Which means I can no longer sit the trot. Really. Nearly bounced right off the other day. So that means that I will actually now have to buckle down and work on the core strength. :dead: And if I had loved exercise, I would not have been this robust in the first place, ha ha.

So over the weekend I did my own testing of different types of the shapely breeches, to see which I liked best of the ones I have. Did the Irideon Cadence (the ribbed ones; not exactly shapely but “plush” sized), the Tuff Rider Figurefit and the On Course Shapelys. And I gotta say, although the Shapelys are a bit warmer in hot weather, I do like them the best. I liked the other two a lot, and I love the “fango” color of the Tuff Rider, but the fabric with that and the Irideon is thinner and therefore much, much less forgiving than the On Course. I mean, really, it’s all about flattening out the bulges, isn’t it?

Though I will sadly admit to having had VPL.

Unexpected source for clothing deals - Big D

I bought some vaccines from Big D this past Spring and now am on their
mailing list. Got an “End of Season Closeouts” flyer today and noticed that
they are offering Ariat Ventura riding tights and tops in sizes running up
to XXL. The tights are ~$42 and the tops $18-$21.

There are also pull-on breeches from Premium Performance for ~$25 in
sizes up to 38 and Schooling Tights by Annie Rider for ~$18 up to XL.
I suspect these might be a trifle lightweight to use in public, but might
be useful for at home schooling.

Big D is in Ohio, their website is www.bigdweb.com and phone is
at 1-800-321-2142 and I have received good service from them
in my previous orders. I am surprised at finding these items in their
listing (but not that they are closeout) as Big D is mostly known as
a source of equipment for sulky racing.

Nevermind. XXL in the Issentials are out of stock. Settled for a pair of the Venturas instead

So it’s not just me, is it? This thread has cost me a lot of $$$!

Oh I think we’re all a big united front

Still much cheaper than a new pair of Saddlebums or Carousel Tights like I originally wanted. We’ll see how they fit tho!

FYI: The shipping from Big Dee’s is FedEx ground two-day at a reasonable rate

Email Robin at The Collection, she carries the Tuffrider line, in fact, she had the Show Circuits made in sizes 38-42 for us “big chicks” and sells them $50 less than Equestrian Collection. I had her get me some schooling breeches, she emailed back with pictures and descriptions of the goodies and I got FREEEEE shipping - she is the best!

Need Cool (as in warm weather) Shirt

I have a schooling show coming up and would like to wear a white cool shirt. I used to buy the Men’s “Cool rider” Show shirt but Dressage Extensions no longer carries the men’s size. Any suggestions?

I need something that I can tuck into my breeches but is long enough that I can “flop” it over the waist (to hide my stomach…) BTW the men’s shirt I did buy SHRUNK!!! Grrrrrr…

I have the Kerritts one. Mine is a 2xl, which would roughly fit a 20 in normal sizes, and it’s a good length. http://www.doversaddlery.com/kerrits-ventilator-pocket-short-sleeve-shirt/p/X1-20626/cn/23/

I really like it–if it were cheaper I’d buy the colors for every day. Not the prints, though

This week, I got the pair of Kerritts cargo tights with the flowrise waist I’d ordered from TOTD. I LOVE THEM!!! I do wish I’d bought them in a darker shade, but my fat doesn’t look TOO gross in them, and they are very, very comfortable! They don’t sag or ride up and they feel so light and comfy. I’m somewhere between a 16w and 18w in real life sizes, and the Kerritts XL fit great.

twnkltoz or anyone else, do you know how the sizing for the Kerritt cargo breeches compares to the sizing for the Irideons (specifically Cadence cords)?

WOO HOO!!! for the Ariat Ventura Riding Tights!!! I got my very on-sale ones from Big Dee’s today. They fit great…not too tight. Best of all, the rise is high enough so the waist goes/stays where it belongs. I’m going BACK onto Big Dee’s and order a pair in Fawn. They’re normally $70 but the sale price is $35. Get 'em while the gettin’s good girls.

I have acouple of those Kerrits shirts. The ones with the patterns are prettier in person than that little swatch on line. The fabric on the patterned(sp?) one is lighter and cooler than the solid one. I’ve gotten caught out in the rain and they dry really fast. I’m working on getting every color they make.
I also have a pair of the Ariat Buzz Off riding tights that are wicked comfy:D

Sierra Trading Post has a lot of “plush” sized Ariat tees and polo shirts on closeout.

CHOCOMARE, I LOVE YOU

The Ariat tights are on their way. And match my jacket. You are just too divine for words.

I, of course, will require a picture

Ask and ye shall receive. Of course, you may be required to wait another 20 lbs, we’ll just have to see. But the jacket these breeches match is one I bought like six years ago in Holland. It was on sale for next to nothing, I put it on and thought “Hmmm … well, it will fit at some point.” I mean, really, it was one of those that you just COULD NOT leave behind. And now it does. And thanks to you, breeks to match!

Um…Coreene dahling. You do realize that “tights” go allll the way to the ankle, right? And are not suitable for tall boot wearing, right?

Of course you did! --ahem-- Just wanted to be sure you really did know that, so that you would not be disappointed when they arrived.

You, of course, will look smashing in them, with a suitable and matching pair of 1/2 chaps, Ariat Terrains or other such paddock boot to go with the equally smashing jacket.

But then again, you’d looking smashing in a pair of painters pants, work boots and a ball cap.…not that you’d ever be caught dead in any of those items, of course.
