Yay! Now if the manufacturers could just take photos of Womanly-Sized Women in said Plus-sized products, we’d be getting somewhere. It’s very hard to translate how a product will look on a fuller figure if all you see is a svelte Size 8 model
SmartPak needs to get a hold of Lands End’s “my virtual model” software
I hope they will extend the search for womanly sizes to footwear. Almost
never do I see any indication of WIDTH in equestrian footwear. Wider
calf sizes, sometimes, but what about wider feet? There is a standard
system of stating shoe and boot width, but equestrian clothing catalogs
almost never mention that the boots and shoes are a B width (though
they nearly always are). Occasionally one sees a C width, but I have
never seen anything wider. I have had to buy directly from Australia
to get the wider width Blundstones, nobody imports the Aussie half
sizes (which are the wider ones).
Yes, if they are checking this thread- they should include boots that come in wide sizes and >16" calfs.
Hi Robin!!! :D:D:D
You could try Mountain Horse brand boots too. I have a wide foot and found a pair that works PERFECT. They are simple “pull-on” style with elastic sides.
I can’t thank you guys enough for this thread.
My mom has wanted a pair of tall boots for so long, but it’s an expense she would never spend on herself.
I made the decision to get her a pair for christmas, but there was no way I could afford customs or get all of her measurements without tipping her off. After reading EVERY page of this thread, I went with the Mountain Horse boots. She LOVES them, the look on her face when she unwrapped them was priceless. Most importantly THEY FIT! I wish this thread had been here a few years ago when I bought her first pair of full seats.
Thank you, now if only I had the extra cash to buy myself some of the neat things I found on this thread.
Jennywho, you’re a very good daughter!

Hey, I bought one of these, too! Except I got mine in the hot pink/fuschia color. It’ll clash beautifully with Pieper, the pretty princess, who is a redheaded TB mare. (I don’t care what all those fashionistas say about how chestnuts shouldn’t wear pink…we dare to be different!)
Tack of the day has Irideon winter breeches in sizes up to 3XL today!
PSA!!!

Aaaannnd…they also have XXL Ovation boots… but those are on a limited basis, probably just to see how they do.
so girls, get the camera out, and show off the great stuff you have found on this thread.
Why am I not doing it myself?
Um… not really sure, but in the spirit of good sportsmanship, I would share this opportunity.
Hope one of us wins this!
Wholly crap…I’m totally gonna do that. Thanks for posting!!!
Okay… I can’t find where to enter. I click the article and I go to a pair of full seat breeches?
Nevermind… I just needed to, you know, read.
Mountain Horse boots. That’s all I’ve got to say - Ariats I had to have a longer gusset put in because even the wides were too narrow, but the MH Richmond boots I had to have two of the back zipper gussets taken OUT because they were wide. And stretchy. And comfy.
Ok, girls. Head over to Rick’s Heritage SPECIALS department at https://www.saddlesource.com/products.asp?cat=214
AMAZINGLY good deals and quite a few items in XXL… like the lovely Lime Ariat Pebble Vest I just snagged for $15 AND Millstone Barnstormer Boots up to size 11 for $20!!!
