Womanly-sized riders, unite!

OK, I just lowered the price of some of my fabulous PLUS SIZED calf boots. Go check out ebay, and someone give them a new home. You will not be able to beat the price on these, and they are not one of the brands that has odd shaped calves. The leather is soft. My ebay feedback on these has been great.

only 2 pairs available at that price.

I wish I could, but I’m broke. :frowning:

Has anybody bought Boink breeches/tights lately, especially the winter ones. I have an old pair of the winter ones that I love because they are so warm (they are heavy fleece on the inside with a smooth outside) but it looks like they aren’t making those any more (I think they are the Fleece Lined Full Seat Boinks, and it looks like they only have certain sizes and colors left). They now make the Classic Riding Skins winter breeches in plus sizes. I am wondering about these. (How well they fit, how warm they are, etc. )

Also, I have a friend who has the old Boink tights (regular ones, not the winter ones) and bought a new pair, and says the new ones don’t fit as well and she doesn’t like them as much (and she is not a plus-size). Anybody bought anything from Boink lately?

Thanks.

Smartpak custom design breeches

So, the Smartpak custom design breeches say that they go to size 44R, which is too big even for me! Has anyone here bought a pair? How did you like them? Fit, fabric, what color combo did you get, were the colors true to your monitor?

Dressage Coats

Dover has a close out on Devon-Aire dressage coats up to size 24 regular for $99.90. Based on everyone’s suggestion. I ordered a size 20 with thoughts of getting it tailered once it arrives…

Shhhh. I really had no intention of showing at a rated show, but just MAYBE I will one day so I might as well get a jacket while I can  We all know prices will only go up in todays economy…

Well, I got the brown base, with pink piping. But, I don’t have any more helpful comments because they aren’t here yet. I was delighted to find a 38R in a cute variety of colors. I love the TS breeches, except they are just a little too tight right now so hopefully this will work out. I will report back when they get here!

Hi Girls-
I was wondering if any of you ever ordered the show circuit breeches from Robin at The Collection? I know that they are supposed to be great breeches, but my main question is how true to size they are. I normally wear a 36/38 in brands like on course, etc.

I want to order a pair soon for next show season, and am wondering about fit! Thanks!

Nski23 - they are pretty true to size… I wish they were a bit more generous in the thigh, but I still LOVE them! so much that I ordered 4 pair! I’m notorious for getting dirty at shows BEFORE I go in the ring. Need my backups…

Bumping to update on Fuller Fillies half chaps

Finally got myself to the almost-local tack shop that carries the Fuller Fillies line! Exchanged the x-wide half chaps for the wide ones (how great to go smaller for once!). They fit nicely…YIPPEEE. And for those of you who have posted about the problems of a wide but SHORT leg, these half chaps do come in regular and short lengths. While the shorts are still a tad too long for my stubby leg, they are flexible enough around the top that I can live with it.

Dublin makes boots in larger calf sizes that are quite reasonable and really comfortable, too. Worth checkign out! I was set to spend a fortune, too!

Can you post the name of the store, and a phone number? If they have a website… BONUS!

The shop is Equine Essentials in Oxford, Mass… Phone is 508-731-0071. Website is eetackshop.com (sorry…couldn’t do a link on this computer).
VERY friendly and helpful owners. Not a huge store, but seemed to carry quite a good range of products (and, of course, I really wanted the Fuller Fillies!). Easy to get to from the Mass Pike, and very close to Route 395.

Just got back from a funeral in in Oakdale, California. Cowboy capital of the world. They have a big Tractor Supply - had never been so of course had to check it out. OMGiH, the most divine bling and western belts, in plush sizes as well! couldn’t pick, so I bought two. Giddyup!

That picture is adorable!!!

I really hope someone from this board wins… I want first bragging rights of “I knew you when”
If the winner is not here already, I hope she becomes one of our friends.

Coreene, sorry you had to go to CA for sad reasons, but glad you got some happiness out of the trip!
I was in my local tack shop last weekend, and saw some absolutely CUTE black cord / ribbed breeches…and that left me with two questions.
How would they look on a plus rider?
And, if OK, WHERE would I find them? I’m starting to see the inches drop, and I want to encourage myself with something nice!
Thanks, ladies!
Dee

Wish I’d known! That’s only about an hour and a half from me.
