SmartPak Strikes Again!!!

SmartPak now has a solution to the dreaded ‘orange peal’ problem that some of us face. Introducing… the SmartSlims

I have bought them, and will post a review here when I get them but here is the description for now:

SmartSlim™

Item #16926
Our Price: $19.95

Control your Curves!

Finally, a comfortable solution to hiding bumps and bulges so that you look svelte in your breeches! SmartSlim was designed by riders who know how uncomfortable it is to wear pantyhose (or other torture devices) under your breeches to reduce the appearance of cellulite and help flatten the tummy. Many, many hours of testing in the saddle resulted in the design that we are proud to present to you. SmartSlim is made of a moisture wicking fabric to help keep you cool even on the hottest days. Designed to be completely invisible under your breeches, SmartSlim will be your little secret. Go ahead, give them a try. We guarantee you’ll love them.

Black or Tan
Size Small (28" - 32" waist), Medium (34" - 38" waist), Large (40" - 44" waist)

Sizes provided are a guideline based on waist size. Depending on your body type, you may want to select a smaller size for more intense compression.

Features include:

  • No roll waistband
  • 3/4 " length so no lines are visible mid-thigh where some compression garments end
  • Grippers at the calf to prevent riding up
  • Flat seams for comfort
  • Breathable, moisuture wicking material to keep you cool even in hot weather
  • Durable material designed to withstand hours and hours in the saddle and repeated washings

Machine wash. Line dry.

SmartPak asked Choco, our OP and me to test those out, and mine should arrive today or tomorrow. They are supposed to go above and beyond Spanx because they are not the sweat monsters that Spanx can turn into on a warm day. I am THRILLED to be trying 'em out!

Regarding half-chaps – they’re not just for schooling shows anymore. I’d much rather wear boots, but in the event I can’t get them in time…this is good to know.
Rule change:

DR120.1 … Riders through First Level may wear half-chaps, gaiters or leggings in solid black or brown, without fringe, matching the color of their boots, and made of smooth leather or leather-like material. … [I][SIZE=1]

BOD 1/13/08 Effective 12/1/08 EC 10/20/08 Effective immediately

Maybe they DO and that store doesn’t carry them.

Ladies, I did a thread in Dressage on SmartSlims. Greatest invention since Shapely breeches. Actually, greatest invention since Shapelys AND George Clooney, and for me that’s really saying something! FABULOUS under jeans as well. I cannot speak highly enough, they are divine.

So glad because I just ordered some

Wow, SmartPak has a ton of larger sizes now.

If they were smart, they’d get Ariat to do a line of XXW calf boots.

Ok, I searched here but didn’t find what I wanted. :sigh:

I love my Saddlebums and Ariat tights but, alas, they do get warm. Anyone have a source for summer-weight tights in fluffy sizes? Thanks!

I asked Ariat about 6 years ago, maybe more if they would consider a line and they were sort of snotty in their reply stating that’s not what their customers want… imagine that… not what customers want and here we are 88 pages later???

OH well

And Choco, what about getting some Tropical Riders? They might still be on sale, I had an email the other day, and they were like 40% off or something really great!

Thanks EE, but alas, Tropical Riders don’t go over XL. I’m shrinking but not there yet.

:sigh:

Can anyone speak to the Boink full seat all-weather ones? I like them but would like to hear from the fluffy masses.

I fit in the TR XL size and I wear a 20/22. ( on a good day…) but they do the custom option too. I don’t think it costs extra.

I have a pair of Ariat buzz of tights that are real cool. The xxl is a 38 and I think they run big. They also have some Ventura III tights that look like they have the same sizing.

I love my TR Enduracools and XL is plenty big enough.

My question is, what kind of underwear (bottoms) do you ride in? I have all kinds of problems from wedgies to chaffing. I did check out the infamous inverness thread but they were talking about being boney, which is clearly not my problem!

I am considering bike shorts but can’t decide whether to go padded or not and they aren’t cheap. I also don’t like the way nylon/spandex feels underneath the breeches, makes it feel slippery. I also don’t like low rise undies because of my gut so they need to be real briefs that come up to just below my belly button. I really don’t have a problem paying for more expensive ones since I’ll only have to buy a few pairs. I do laundry a few times a week anyway.

I’d just like to share with you all of the MIRACLE of the Enell bra… I know it’s been touted as being really good on here already, which is why I ordered it! And it really is everything it’s made out to be. My girls are barely moving AND it’s made me go down at least 1 shirt size.

Tropical Rider breeches are sized LARGE. XL was too way big, and I wear a 16/18. I’m waiting for another sale, though - keep us posted on that!

hey chocomare - I have a pair of new black full seat equissentials, size 38L i need to sell. Wore them twice. Interested?

PM me dahling

Another cheer for the Enell bras! Both the No bounce and the lite are great! The lite is more wicking …I wish the no bounce wasn’t so …well…nylon! But I own them both and love them!!!
