Maybe deleted because advertising on COTH forums isn’t free?
oh shoot! I’ll delete it myself
Hey girls. Plan for next winter. Freedom Rider has Arctic Tights in XL-Tall on sale: http://www.freedomrider.com/specials_SE.html#tights
They’re regular striped ones aren’t horribly priced either: http://www.freedomrider.com/tights4.html
Just echoing others that the Tropical Rider Enduracools run really big.
As for things to wear underneath breeches, I love the UnderArmour underwear. And although my last transaction with SaddleBums was quite unpleasant, they make a padded “bike” short that is super comfortable under breeches or jeans.

Ladies! check out the new SmartSlims made by Smartpak Equine. They are JUST what you are looking for. Compression, comfort, wicking and not slippery. I wore them to a show last weekend and didn’t even know they were there, except the jiggle factor was MUCH better.
I don’t want compression.
In any case, 50% off sale at Tropical Rider!
I don’t know about this. I ordered breeches during their Easter 50% off sale and they have yet to show up. (Need to check if my CC has been charged.) Have sent them a couple of emails and gotten no reply.
Be careful.
My friend ordered some as well and they just arrived last week. She called and was told their shipping was backlogged due to the sale.

Nah, they’re cool. I also ordered during the last big 50% off sale and they emailed to tell me they were backlogged with orders and exactly when they were going to ship. My order arrived earlier this week. The last sale included custom items, too (which mine were) whereas this one is for in-stock stuff, so I should think they’d be shipping right away. Maybe your spam filter is catching their replies? They do have an 800 number you could try.

I got the new Irideon catalog at the American Horse Supply sale on Saturday - the most darling new tops and jackets, and some in Bonus Sizes! And breeches is a wine range of Bonus Size color choices. Not that I think breeches should be anything but black, dark blue and dark brown, but it was a great range!

Is there a website on the catalog? I love their lightweight tops…
Careful ladies (all 88 PAGES of us) we are all too fat to ride…:eek:

Am I the only one that finds the elastic around the leg opening to be uncomfortably tight? I’m hoping it’ll loosen with wear.
Equus now has lovely tall boots- field boots zip ups with 18" calfs- it looks like a new line.

I didn’t buy mine from Equus Now, but I own a set of Treadstone field boots and they are great. Best field boots I’ve ever had for my 16.5" calf, and way cheaper than custom.
I wish they had dress boots! I’ve been looking at UK sites and they seem to have several makers that aren’t readily available here that look like nicer quality than the Devon Aire etc at a better price!
Warning: Canadian Equissentials Buyers
ARGH!
I just paid $65 in duty to get my altered breeches back!
I’ve been dealing with and buying Equissentials breeches for over a decade, without a glitch at customs.
Equissentials are great – but if you’re buying online or dealing w/shipping, try to circumvent Canada Customs. Bastards.
I was so excited about having lost some weight, and now I’m just bitter.
Somantu,
How much was the cost for alterations? Were they breeches you already had, that you sent back to have altered?
I have a friend who works in a customs related field (importations), and I might be able to give you some pointers if Customs has misinterpreted anything.
Let me know if I can help!
