Naming horses after food that humans eat is not a good idea.
Our owner bought an ottb mare that she said would have been “filly mignon” since she was going to auction if our owner had not bought her.
We like the name “Haagen Dazs” for a horse. Before our time, but our owner said he was a good horse on the national scene. Until she found out that the ice creme was made in Jersey.
If we had to be named something that humans consume, we’d be
“St Pauli Girl” and “Heineken” for obvious reasons. We drink those biers.
The jumps at Rolex are too dangerous for horses. With this unsettled weather, the footing will be bad. Rotational falls are scary. Better to jump in the ring. 5 ft is a good height and lots of jumps with solid footing.
We hope the Saddle and the Trailer and the Pony and the Pony owner are not in all this rainy weather this weekend.
