WOW - HUGE Kudos for Schneider's Tack!!!!!!!

I am just blown away!! I had bought a Turnout blanket from them, in Oct. of 2013. It was on clearance, so I got a great deal for it. Sadly, it got quite a few rips in it, and several of the snaps broke. I was pretty bummed, but managed to get it through last winter with duct tape, and extra snaps. This year the tail flap tore a bit, so out came the duct tape. I had been looking to replace the blanket, but on a whim looked it up on their website. They no longer carried it,but I had totally forgotten that it had a 2 year Warranty!!

Now, usually those are too good to be true, but I contacted them anyway using the Live chat. Not only were they polite and helpful, but the woman who I spoke to - Ellen - gave me an email address to send pictures of the damage. Within minutes of sending the pictures, she calls me saying that they would have to replace the blanket. Since they no longer made my blanket, they would be replacing it with one of comparable value. It’s on back order, but in two weeks I will have a brand new blanket for FREE!!!

Thank you Schneider’s Saddlery, and Ellen, for standing behind your products and keeping your customer’s first!!!

I’ve had nothing but great service from Schneider’s and their blankets are top-notch (and inexpensive!)

Glad you had the same type of experience!

I have also had great service from them.

I had a similar experience with a flysheet that I had bought from them on clearance…they were very good to deal with and more than fair. Plus, I love the durability of their fly sheets!

SSTACK is a wonderful company. I only get my blankets from them. Last year, mine has slight tears on it, but not worth replacing yet. They shipped me matching sealing tape that worked great, and it arrived in a very timely manner! Great customer service!

I love Schnieder’s too! They are awesome!

I know some people have had complaints, but I too have always had great service from Scnheiders.

What a nice story to read about a business. I just bought a blanket from them for my donkey. The blanket was on sale and arrived super fast. I’ve had good luck with their blankets over the years.

woohoo! Glad to hear! Makes me want to go search for something to buy on their website right now

I bought a TO from them a couple of years ago for a mare who is hard on her blankets…didn’t want to spend a lot of money, assuming she’d tear up just about anything. Her blanket has held up beautifully (and as she’s grown up a bit she’s not so destructive) and I’ve since bought several others. All are well-made, fit nicely (and as sized) and have also held their color…silly I know, but I just don’t like the way blankets look when they bleach out. I don’t expect them to last as long as my Rambo, but for the price I’m okay with that!
I’ve also always had good experiences with their customer service.

I bought a wheeled saddle cart from them, and when it arrived, the basket was a little crooked and would not hook to the cart properly. They sent me a new one, and did not want the defective one sent back - would have probably cost more to send it back than it was worth.

I did this :D, as my pony has outgrown his turnout.
Great prices, but everything I need is out of stock & not expected until July.
I didn’t check horse sizes, so they may still have some available.

Thanks for the tip OP!

I’ve used them many times over the years, and they have always been wonderful!

I would like to say I’ve used them many times…but since the $60 winter blanket I purchased 4 winters ago refuses to die, I can’t. The tail flap got ripped off last year. The outside is still fine with no rips (and has lived through 2 horses who shredded an Amigo, Rambo liner, and a Tough-1).

When I ordered the blanket, I had it shipped to our place in Arizona to avoid the Canadian shipping charges. It arrived late, and missed it’s flight home. Schneiders shipped me a second blanket to Canada (no charge), and let me return the one in Arizona two months later - the next time I was down there. A+ customer service!

I haven’t had as much luck with their fly sheets, though. But no fly sheet has lasted more than a season on my horses without needing MAJOR repairs. I’ve gone through 2 Schneiders flysheets, and 2 Rambo Protectors. At least the Schneiders ones are easier on the wallet.

I used to buy from Schneiders years ago. I tried to return a blanket within the warranty period once and they told me I would need to get the blanket professionally laundered before sending it in, pay a service fee, and pay for return shipping and then shipping of the replacement blanket. Total cost to do this was nearly as much as it would be to just buy a new blanket myself.
Plus I’m not impressed with schneiders blanket quality. My sheet wasn’t waterproof after 1 season and got quite a few tears in it, as well as the tail flap being yanked off. It also gave my horse pretty terrible shoulder rubs despite the fact that it appeared to fit him well.

I don’t think that is true anymore. When I sent mine back last year, I didn’t even have to wash it.

I bought a blanket from Schneiders. I had it a year and a half when Finnegan killed it. I sent a picture of the destruction and they gave me the option to replace it with the same blanket or pay $25 for the next higher quality one. I went with the higher quality one. The $25 was the current price difference for the two since they were way on sale as it was end of season.

Just wanted to update everyone - I got my blanket in the mail yesterday (it was on back order) and am thrilled! I like it better then the original blanket!

Thanks again SStack.com!!!

Yes, I updated some sheets this year (not because they needed it but because I am a serial blanket buyer). One was a no fill TO sheet and another was an 80 gram TO sheet. The no fill sheet must have been manufactured on a day a whole lot of people were not feeling like doing their job. First it failed waterproofing, but this was just before I was going out of town, so I just re-waterproofed it… But while I was out of town, my younger horse just completely blew out the shoulder and busted a snap - it looked like he wiped out at speed (entirely likely - see rain+clay+stupid for explanation). So I was not feeling the love…

But shit happens and I have owned about 20 schneider’s blankets over the years with no problems, so I’m not going to judge them off one oops. nd clearly it wasn’t any overall decline in quality since the 80 gram was just fine. It was a one off thing.

I called, sent an email with pics of the victim and got a replacement blanket in the mail. Awesome!

My Schneiders warrenty wasn’t worth a dime

I’d say you’re really lucky Freebird. I bought a blanket from them and it came apart at the seam after a month or so of use. I called, sent pictures and all they were willing to do on their 2 year warranty is pay for me to have someone repair it. My horse has blankets that are 10 years old that are still in perfect condition. This was a quality control issue and they should have honored their warranty. I love the way their blankets fit, but I’ll never buy another one. Maybe I should have ripped it up and I would have gotten a new blanket. The lady I talked to was very snippy and told me I could pay to send it back and pay for delivery on a new one.
