No
Acrobatic ride from Mary King! Wow. I hope she stays on til the end…
No diff Japanese horse than the first placed horse
Are there any faults for taking down a flag?
OUCH. I’m really hoping the tarps went up just to keep the vet exam private. She seemed pretty lame getting up, but even the announcer said the horse didn’t look too much worse for wear.
Oof.
No, he goes towards the end, I believe.
Japanese horse looked lame but not fracture lame so hopefully he will be fine.
The commentators seemed to think that the hold had something to do with the Brazilian rider. Did he also fall?
Yes, who is this guy? He should do all the events.
Imperial Cavalier: you do not know better than Mary King. Stop pretending you do. Looks like half Irish is enough to inherit the attitude. I love watching her ride.
How did the Italian, Brecciaroli, do?
Never mind, hasn’t gone yet.
yes on line is delayed for sure compared to the tv coverage…
Was it just me or did the Japanese rider hold his horse back before the jump, which got his horse off balance? I thought he added a half stride right before the jump which caused him to catch in the air…
I love this announcer. His commentary is witty without being stupid. THANK GOD it isn’t Melanie Taylor Smith or whatever her name is. Her commentary on the television of dressage was just plain STUPID.
“Some of the riders can use the double bridle”…no you dummy. They all can. Some just prefer to use the snaffle.
Well, eventing has a royal contingent evidently in the stands – Kate, will, and Harry and Sebastian Coe I believe the commentators said – probably here to watch cousin Zara as well! How lucky are we to have such an inspiring sport.
I am still sitting here in absolute AWE of the coolness, the great ride of Karen O’Connor – seeing that ride – I felt the pride, the thrill, the reason for living to ride cross country. Very inspiring. Not sure I can write how it makes me feel. My training level, my novice cross country – that feeling that we all live for, I felt that watching her ride today.
Do not care about time faults. Superb ride no matter what the score. I hope she knows or reads about how great a ride she made and is not too upset with her time. Still glowing over that ride.

I think they already went, and have a ton of faults.
Mary finishes with only 5.2 faults!
Mary King did great, 5.20 penalties. She seemed to be flying but still got time penalties…
Brazilian guy arrived safely.
This Japanese rider was about 52nd in the standings.
He is great and no one knows his name! The mystery announcer!
