joris back on course.

So is there someone else on course behind the fall? How does that work? Wouldn’t you lose an incredable amount of momentum? Sorry from hunterland here…[/QUOTE]
Yes. It happens and it is hard. They try to plan the holds so that they are not right before the more complex questions on course. There will be several places on a course like this that are planned to be holding points. Riders have to keep their focus and get their horses right back on their game when they start up. Also hard for those warming up.
Looks like they’re back up; riders taking a practice fence.
don’t know if this was posted somewhere else, but does anyone know who designed this course? I love the part where they come into the stadium for the Tower of London fence, then go back out…
Regarding the rider(s) held up on course. The one rider’s breastplate had become undone and as he was held up, one of the course officials fixed it for him. I didn’t know anything like that was allowed?
Rolex definitely had more non finishers and that started from the very beginning. I want to know more about the two Swedish sisters who are riding a mother and daughter??!!?? How cool is that?!?
Twitter reports horse is up and walking.
Sue Benson is the course designer.
Bah! NBCSP interrupted XC for ping pong?! (Insert colorful and inappropriate explatives here!) Does anyone know when Phillip Dutton is riding?
Damn, long commercials online…this cant be good
Does anyone else’s coverage get REALLY loud on the commercials? I am watching online with headphones and the commercials are actually painfully loud
Course designer is Sue Benson. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/30/sports/olympics/olympic-equestrian-course-features-tower-of-london-mr-badger-and-more.html
Do you mean the Algotsson’s? They have been eventing at the international level for years, and most of their horses are home breds.

XC was on hold due to a fall, that’s why.
Wow, Exponential still full of go at the end. 2.4 penalties, just over the time. Cool horse.
No commercials on the BBC feed!

YAY!!!
From what people said before, it seems that the tarp goes up for every fall.
I think they filled in with ping pong during the hold on course - they didn’t actually interrupt the cross country coverage for it.
Phillip rides 62nd.
Well done Exponential!
chancellor2, you’re not the only one who’s getting blown out by the commercials. I keep having the turn the volume down when they come up. Just a minor annoyance in my book since I’m being bad and watching at work.
