That was Lucinda Green.
She crashed thru some decorations finding her way back around. It was pretty funny.

Aw, last Canadian rider eliminated for a fall.
Ouch, too bad for Rebecca Howard. Today was not Canada’s day.
Rebecca had a fall at a skinny brush at the bottom of the hill mid course (not sure of the number).
Darn, only two canadians through!
ok. the japanese leader now… sorry for Canada
Bummed that the Canadians are having a bad day. Hope everyone is OK.
let’s hope Canada makes up for this in SJ next weekend

Oh, man. Jung just put Germany on top. Mixed emotions - I would love to see GBR get a top medal, but Ingrid Klimke and Michael Jung are such fantastic riders, I can’t say I am sorry to see them way up in the top rankings - currently sitting 1st and 3rd!
Ingrid
should have to ride
bareback
with a paper neck ‘rope.’
(Seated facing backwards…)
thankfully, we were wrong!
about the course, that is, What great shots;) of horses galloping and jumping, as in “the old days:cool:”
What a crying shame for Clayton Fredericks and his horse. That wasn’t their fault.

Anne, I’ve only seen one refusal at that skinny out of the water (but I’ve only seen maybe 12 go). …Most seem to be negotiating it extremely well!
I saw that miss, too, which is what made me think how most of them just did it when in reality it’s not easy. That’s the thing. People watch and say oh, equestrian, you just run along, but all those little things, like the skinnies, for instance. Not easy. Really shows the suppleness and responsiveness of the horse and rider.
The jump in the arena, too: Big, open gallop across that huge arena, then that TIGHT little turn. From the horse’s point of view, Yippee, we’re galloping! then, oh, yeah, narrow jump-TIGHT TURN-narrow jump…and off again. Amazing.
Japanese horse just saved her rider…
…and there goes the dutch rider! Almost hung on! Came off in the 2nd water combination, right before the skinny bit.
Go Tom Bombadill! Most awesome name ever.
Her horse looks very confused!

Anybody know how far behind they are? I only want to log on long enough to see Mark Todd, but haven’t been able to catch any since I left for work at 8:30am!
Mali, Wm F-P is starting, Mark Todd is 2 horses out. Time to log on…
WFP on course!
Are you staying or going??? Make up your mind, lady!
