i read on the Horse & Hound blog that Boyd’s score for cross country doesn’t count… i’m new to following eventing, can anyone explain why his score won’t count? (sorry if this is explained elsewhere, i didn’t see it)
Why is fence 3 taking everyone out??? It looks like one of the easy ones from my non-eventing perspective
Gin & Juice seems to have been instructed to complete the course today.
She looks hurt but ok.
They are bringing stretcher for Hawley.
MASTER CRUSOE only had 3.60 time penalties!!! WELL DONE IRELAND and AOIFE!!! YAYAYA!!!
Link Nilla?
Damned!! I hope she is OK!!!
Another delay!!

The coverage itself is great! Nice long shots of most of the fences with the whole rider in the screen. And I’m digging the areial shot.
Good for you, NBC.[/QUOTE]
Agreed. It’s a beautiful course and the coverage is excellent.
Really impressed !
Way to go Ireland!
Has Gin & Juice been caught yet?
I think that is just a precaution. Hold on course at moment.
Irish rider wasn’t the smoothest in the world but was getting the job done.
So far most impressed with Nicola Wilson, Dirk, and Karen’s rounds. There is no doubt in my mind we have riders among the worlds best. Don’t underestimate the quality of Boyd’s round, either!
Ugh, hope Hawley is Ok
BBC coverage excellent as well.
Who is the announcer? I like him.
Ugh, ambulance. Not good.
Huh? Why wouldn’t their score count?

That’s not correct. Boyd’s ride and score counts. We will not know the drop score for team placing until after first round tomorrow.

what kind of fall was this? Juice and Gin looked fine the last time I saw him galloping down the course.
OK. Here’s a REALLY happy American update!
TEAM
with only two riders finished so far though
USA 108.10 - 2 riders finished
AUS 108.80 - 2 riders finished
GER 114.30 - 2 riders finished
GBR only has one horse so far finished, Nicola - in the low 50’s.
SuZQuzie-
the live blog is here (I have a feeling it’s how I will get through the work day, not to mention checking this forum!!)
I scrolled all the way up to read the remarks for Boyd. (I’m a little obsessed with Neville, so following Boyd and Otis is the next best thing for me)
It’s a human ambulance, not horse. Must be the Canadian rider who came off.
