and having now met Heidi, I can confirm that Jair, despite his protestations to the contrary, really was totally out of his league during your verbal sparring matches online. He paleth in comparison to the magnificent heidi 
and I know I’ve been here too long now that I actually understand screen names and am more than willing to meet the people behind them in person!

How about when you can figure out a few anagrams for Chronicle of the horse, such as “The fresh, choicer loon” “Shh! Enter choicer fool” “Eh! Coherent rich fools” “The rich fools or hence”.

…You plot ways to veil OT topics in horse-relatedness.
…You can pinpoint in what forum and on what date (within a month or two) a particular thread appeared, for more effective searching in the archives.
…You can explain how to post a photo to someone else.
…You take photographs of things you never would have thought photo-worthy in pre-BB days, just so you can post them to illustrate a story.
…You know that draw reins are “bad” and auto releases are “good.”
…You gave up celebrating each 1000-post marker about 2000 posts ago.
When you start dreaming about it. Seriously, last night I had a dream that I slept in to like late afternoon and when I woke up, I got online, and there was a thread asking where I was.

someone you grew up with (who moved to the other side of the continent and you hadn’t seen/heard from in 15 years) emails you when she finds a memorial thread you posted about a horse!
You have to be smarter than the horse, and since that will never happen, pretend you are.
*** you think nothing of accepting packets of pink stuff that smokes when you put it on your horse - across an international border - from your BB friend who swears it works!
*** you think nothing of sending non-Canadian-approved medications across the border labeled “horse vitamins” on the Fed Ex customs declaration sheet! (Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures …)
