OMG I would do that in a heartbeat. Now to find someone who could do it…
Cool! Is it as wide as a flake coming off a 3-string bale? I use mine mostly for Timothy, so it being as wide as the flake is important…that stuff falls apart just from looking at it.
I don’t have any experience with three-string bales so I can’t say, but they seem to come in a wide variety of sizes, so just google “log carrier” and you might be able to find one to suit your purposes. I bought mine probably 20 years ago and wish it was wider, but I just use two-string bales, and I’ve got a system with the old stirrup strap where I run that up my elbow, grab the other handle and balance the whole thing on my hip. I like it even better than a sled in snowy weather because my sled always seemed to want to tip over.

A Baker vest for me that was a total impulse buy (blue vest lined with soft baker plaid fabric). It’s the coziest piece of clothing I’ve ever owned and I wear it every day in the winter. My horse has a baker fleece cooler so we get to match! Yep, I’m 36 and just said that.
-
Hadfields bridle and the N.S. Verbindend hunter dee bit attached to it. That counts as one item in my mind. I love it to a quasi-unhealthy degree.
-
Fleck ultra light gel handle crop. It seems like marketing b.s., but it is so much lighter and the handle fits in my hand like it was custom made for me.
I must be using the hands on gloves wrong because everyone else loves them. I bought a pair and pretty quickly went back to the sponge/jelly scrubber/bare hands combo.
I neglected to mention two of my favorite items, but there are many posts devoted to them already, so no big deal.
- Higher Standards leather cleaner--all the scents are nice, and this stuff is so pleasant to use. I've turned everyone in my barn into a fan.
- Gary Mundy stirrup leathers
My Butets (all 3 of them the past 30 yrs - counting as one ) love they fit everyone and so comfortable
Ariat Stretch Field Boots- extremely comfortable and still look great after 2 yrs and a lot of use
My trailer - 4 yrs old and looks new
You’re not alone. I tried really hard to buy a Baker vest when I was at Rebecca Farm a few weeks ago. Sadly, it was buy Equine Couture and the zippers were really poor quality and kept catching. I couldn’t justify the cost when I could barely get it the zippers to work while standing at the vendor booth. Sigh.
It’s ridiculous how awesome it is, especially in relation to how cheap it is. I think I ran up to random strangers, shoving it in their face, saying YOU MUST TRY THIS!!!
(also, I was reminded - after our last 40 days/nights of rain - that it is still the best thing ever to scrub cannon keratosis or rain scald/rot without turning your thin skinned chestnut TB into a swollen mass of irritated skin)
Can’t wait for mine to come!
I am still waiting for mine to come.
- subscription to Clip My Horse for all the livestreaming and archiving goodness, though maybe work would disagree with me
- Ogilvy baby pads are really the bees knees
- DAC oil makes my coarse-coated grey horse’s coat shine like it never has before

What an awesome thread!!! I love it! I have way more than three things to post, so I am going to do a couple categories! lol.
Apparel
-
AA motionlite show jacket. It is seriously so nice! I would not wear it at AA shows, but it is so great for the summer shows here.

Noble outfitters all season socks - for those of us who like a little bit thicker sock for everyday use. (I wear these with my half chaps and paddock boots, not under my tall boots)

under my tall boots I wear the Kingsland sock.

- Struck breeches - they are amazing. More of a tech fabric and lighter weight than tailoreds (love TS too!). They have an awesome wide waistband and aren’t too low rise. They are worth the money as they wear like iron. I wear the 50 series and wear the same size in struck as TS.

Horse care
-
True Sweat - the only supplement that I have found that actually works for anhidrosis. It’s amazing, not available everywhere, on the expensive side and the owner is…unique…but it is awesome stuff.

witchhazel - I go through this stuff like crazy. It’s an awesome anti-inflammatory, helps itchiness and more. I use it on legs, face, ears, as a wash all over the body
-
Dawn antibacterial dishsoap - I use this on my horse’s legs after every ride. Why waste money on overpriced branded equine soap, when this is literally the same ingredients?!
Bonus: My other all time favorite supplements: Ramard Calm and Focus (hate all you want. This stuff is magical) and DAC Bloom - can be used to add weight/muscle and makes your horse’s coat amazing!
Jin Kinko stirrups
Ogilvy baby pads
Ultimate hoof pick
Equifit hoof tape
Rebound hoof packing
Effol Orca sweat scraper (it’s the only one my horse doesn’t object to very loudly)
Pomms ear plugs
“Scratches” goop from SC Equine Associates - this will heal anything, including scratches lol
Noble Outfitters boot bag
Samshield backpack (this is good for me to use for work too!)
CWD anatomic bridle (horse loves the crown piece)
Fleck shorty lunge whip
Where can I find that dual sided sheepskin / cactus cloth mitt???
Believe in the power of the Tiger Tongue!!!
I got one, loved it, and bought them as holiday gifts for my barn buddies and THEY all love them, too!
I’m intrigued by the Bentley Bars but I’m not paying $15 shipping. Please do review although I’m a big fan Higher Standards myself. The scents of the Bentley ones sound super nice.

Hay, Where’s that Blue Stuff: my mare had a NASTY skin infection on her face this winter and I slathered this stuff on it as a stop gap before the vet could come out (it was Christmas week). By the time he got there, it was basically healed.
-
Pacific Rim International All Purpose saddle pads: Fun colors and they wear like iron.
-
Non Slip Grooming Mitt: I use one of these (with the hose) to scrub off sweat and scurf and mud after fox hunts. Even with the relative low water pressure of my portable tank, it will get her looking like she’s just come from the wash rack.
Thanks for the recommendation! Just ordered two
It’s ridiculous how awesome it is, especially in relation to how cheap it is. I think I ran up to random strangers, shoving it in their face, saying YOU MUST TRY THIS!!!
I ordered three the other day after reading this thread for me and a couple of barn mates. Can’t wait to try them! My 28 year old always has some sort of skin thing happening on some part of his body and can get itchy. I bet this is going to make him soooooo happy!
- Jin stirrups
- Dog de-shedding brush for horses with out of control manes
- scratches cream (different stuff works for different horses)
How can I forget. The active wear crop top I got from Autograph that goes over a sports bra. OMG. It has changed my life. My breasts are so thankful.
Oh I have a fleck whip too, I bought it on clearance somewhere just to fill an order for free shipping. It was cheap so I didnt expect anything, and im very particular about whips not being super bendy, and usually only +100$ ones meet that.
This fleck turned up and its fabulous, the best whip I ever had, and im sure I paid less thant $20 for it
