Yep. I agree and love the stuff.

Amazing is right!. After all the posts about the Tiger Tongue, I bought one when I ordered new flymasks last week. It came today. The donkeys love it, the dogs love it, and the cats love it. I think Iāll buy a couple more.
If youāre still on the fence, I highly recommend them. Iām sure youād have no problems finding it a new home if you didnāt like it.
latest use for tiger tongue? Excellent at cleaning horse boots off after marathon day!
Or after riding in wet sand at home.
A barnmate tried to buy one at the Dover store near us and they were sold out.
I must be doing something wrongā¦Iām kind of māeh about the Tigerās Tongue. I like it for faces (the horses LOVE it for that). but other than that so far? I donāt like the size in my hand, I scrunch it up to get a good hold on it for scrubbing on sweat spots and it never feels secure. It also doesnāt fit in my grooming bag AT.ALL.
Iām going to keep on tryingā¦because I know I must be missing all the fantasticness
I cram my Tigerās Tongue into one of the end pockets on my grooming tote. I kind of scrunch it in there so it doesnāt go sproinging out. It seems to take a fair amount of abuse, though I notice that a tiny piece tore off it the other day. I think that the scrunching in my tote and my hand has taken some of the spring out of the thing so that it is more pliable and has less of a mind of its own.
they are the bomb for leg scurf/cannon crud. You can really wrap around the leg
- Equiderma Skin Lotion - It cures cannon crud and rain rot super fast
- Hands-on Grooming Gloves - My mare will follow me around the paddock asking for more scratches when I wear them
- Ogilvy Baby Pad - Best pad ever, no slipping
Ages ago when wool coolers were the norm and standard colors were hunter green, navy, grey with trim of some sort, our local tack store got in fleece coolers- and they had a really pretty print on it - I think I had a similar patterned fleece pullover from LL Bean. I loved that darn cooler.
2nd - my first saddle. A used Stubben A/P saddle. It was comfortable and it was mine! It symbolized the beginning of the rest of my life with horses
3rd. My Caldene side saddle habit - man I felt like hot s**t in that thing. Eat your heart out Ralph Lauren this habit is the real McCoy not your faux equestrian look haha
4th (and kinda, no actually gross) Having dealt with canker for 18 months, vet came back from a seminar where he learned about the use of medical maggots. Did I want to give them a go. Heck yes. Ordered those maggots ASAP, vet slapped them in/on horses hooves and I can happily report heās been free of that devil canker for 3 years now.
I just cut mine in quarters so itās easier to hold/store.
I wasnāt quite sure what to do with mine when it came, either. It was much bigger than I expected. Finally, I just grabbed it in the middle and started using it like a body brush, then like a curry for really dirty spots.
I am really impressed with how it copes with dried sweat marks.
I am buying the feeder
That feeder looks intriguing⦠But as an owner of a fjord who likes to toss his fortiflex tub at my head when I donāt move fast enough, Iām a little concerned that lip might make it even easier!
Aurgh! Jeffers doesnāt have that feeder in stock and it is MUCH more expensive everywhere else I look?!
One of the many ways to use the Tigerās Tongue grooming tool is to use it just like a dandy brush. That is what my riding teacher did the first time she used one, and you should have seen the dust fly off!
Even after currying with the HandsOn gloves (or on the OTTB the ZoomGroom cat grooming tool), scrubbing with the Retriever dog bathing mitt, using the dandy brush, then the flick brush with vigorous flicks, and using the Haas Diva body brush (flicking up at the end of the stroke), I STILL have dust flying off the horseās back when I use the Tigerās Tongue grooming tool. My saddle pads are cleaner than they ever have been after a ride.
Gaaah⦠discontinued by the manufacturer
Well, thatās unfortunate. I was thinking how well that might work for my bucket tipper who lives outside.
The Getty price (http://gettyequinenutrition.biz/Products/rockinghorsefeeder.htm) of $104 (!) does include freight/shipping. I ordered one. Weāll see how it fares with Mr. Feed Flinger.
I ordered one too, but the manufacturer told me she believes they donāt have any in stock. So I guess weāll see.
The manufacturer is looking for another factory to make them, they havenāt stopped selling them-- they just need to find a source to make them. Bummer as it looks like EXACTLY what I need.
So⦠hopefully⦠Getty actually DOES have them. But I am not holding my breath.
Omg I hope they arenāt discontinued for good. Those feeders are amazing! And 16 pounds so if your Fjord can fling it at you more power to him! Lol.
