$100,000 Equitation Class at WEC on 2/13/21, Video of Winner in Post 129

I forget if it was this company or a different one, but I subscribed to some streaming service to watch horse shows a few years ago, and I could never figure out how to cancel it. Luckily for me, I had just happened to use a credit card that expired within a few months. Otherwise I would probably still be paying for it to this day!

Is there a link to a recording anywhere? I couldn’t find it on the WEC website and I was really looking forward to watching it last night but unfortunately lost track of time.

Here’s the press release with more details and some comments from the winning rider and trainer. And pictures.

Oh. That’s true, and never a professional!

I don’t know my way around the site very well, but I think this is the list of videos from this Ocala show: https://www.clipmyhorse.tv/en_US/events/6004/ocala-winter-spectacular-vi

(most of them require a membership, though there is a 30-day free trial.)

Clip My Horse has many nice features, however, too many people have found that once you give your information to them, “you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave
”

For what’s it’s worth, I’ve quit on two different occasions and the process has worked as they state in the instructions. I think the monthly fee is ridiculous, but keep needing to come back. I wish it weren’t the case!

Video of the winning round:

Wow, just lovely

And the horse is spectacular!!

This video includes both rounds from Natalie Jayne, along with running commentary from her trainer Andre Dignelli.

Is the trainer bonus thing common?

Unfortunately, no. Lol.

Thank you for sharing this. It is interesting to hear the trainer comments (and get to see more videos of the course - I got burned by CMH and will not subscribe again). Her second round was beautiful. Obviously first was really nice too, but I love the second one.

The fact that ,“he has done all the work with this horse himself” (quoting his EQ coach Stacia Madden) was, I thought, the difference between the riders in this competition.

IMHO,you can see it. When everything was perfect you could see it, and when not perfect after the jumps, when he corrected the horse, you could see the relationship between them.

I hope he keeps on, with a good head on his shoulders, and has every opportunity for success. It will be fun to watch him grow. He looks like an excellent horse trainer.

The first time I tried to watch the video of the winner, the screen froze several times, which was annoying at first. But then I noticed that every time the picture froze, his position looked extremely correct. Over the jumps, between the jumps, pretty much all the time. Then when I watched it again and it did not freeze, it was obvious that he also had a great connection with his horse. So it was sort of fun to see both aspects of it that way.

I agree, he rides very well.

Does anyone else sort of cringe when Andre is saying they counted 10 or 11 strides? I sort of weep for the children if we can’t ride around a corner (with no fences) without counting

Are you talking about the hand gallop jump? It looked like a bending line to me, so it was no surprise they had a number in mind.

If anything, that was one thing I might have changed about the course. For me, the hand gallop jump is a better test as a single, not as part of a line.

Agree with all of this! This was so fun to watch. Great riding and this horse is amazing.
