1st BC race (Race #4): Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint for $500k
Just a 6 horse race with a late scratch but even the favorite with PVal up (@ 1/2) gets nipped yards out by the longest shot - a maiden! - Brad Kelley’s Hightail! That horse was 8 starts going 0-1-2 
D. Wayne Lukas gets his 19th Breeders’ Cup win. All time record extended and now the oldest trainer to win a BC race.
It would’ve been nice if Brad Kelley had used not his Bluegrass Hall silks, but those of his Calumet Farm.
And not had a clueless teenager answer questions about what’s up with Calumet.

I have to agree its odd that Erin Kelley would’ve been so awkward with her response. I’m sure hearts sank in Lexington as the billionaire daughter of the new owner of that revered farm has no idea what they’ll do with it.
Actually having Brad there would’ve been a bit like seeing Howard Hughes after 1965 - very few pictures exist of the man …
Can’t complain as I won the exacta, but can’t believe that Juvenile Sprint was a BC race and a not 100k undercard stake.

Should be a producer doing a little prep work by the winner’s circle.
The Argentinian horse is out of a Lefty mare. Lefty has sired some nice TB sons that have been prolific sporthorse sires. Roven being one of them.

I thought I heard the comment from Randy Moss and/Jerry Bailey (of course these great nuggets are cited AFTER the win) - the horse has been carrying far more weight and over 9 of his races have been longer than 1 1/2 miles.
Essentially this race and the out come was well within his wheelhouse 
I loved that little chestnut, Tara From the Cape! She was so tiny the jockey looked like he was riding a pony. I think she has great promise, and looked very game next to those big girls.
Too bad my pick, the Broad Brush horse, Not Abroad, didn’t win the marathon. 
I didn’t like the way he got boxed in at the end.
Jockey said they told him the horse would break slow, just leave him alone until the last half mile. Said the horse knew more than the jockey about how to win.

In the Ladies Classic, #4 was pulled up. Is she okay? I believe it is Questing.
Yay! My girls came in 1 - 2, Royal Delta and My Miss Aurelia!!! Royal Delta just attained queen status in my eyes…GREAT RACE (except for Questing pulling up )
Loved the last 2 races. Had Zagora. Have always been a fan of Royal Delta, but picked Awesome Feather - who had won 10 of 10, for the 2nd half of the double. She got stuck behind a wall of speedy horses, dropped back, and dawdled.
Royal Delta was amazing in her win, and was when I saw her at Saratoga, and watching her win the Beldame. She has amazing conformation. My Miss Aurelia really gave it a go as well. Another favorite. It was a tough race with so many lovely fillies!
Dr Bramlage said Questing had no apparent injury. But from the gate she didn’t break on top, then Irad Ortiz didn’t like how she was running, so pulled her up. Speculation after being examined by the vets before walking on the horse ambulance is that she tied up.
