Suedois is also out of the Turf Sprint after suffering a stress fracture this morning.

Good luck in your race on Friday. Even with the bad news today, I’d imagine there’s still a bit of a thrill having a horse run on a Breeders’ Cup day even if it isn’t a BC race.[/QUOTE]
Eh. We did it last year with Metaboss (iirc that was where he finished behind Bolo?) It’s an AOC with no one in for a tag so it’s not exactly exciting racing. With the TV thing I don’t believe I can watch anyway–there was some thing with the TV rights where TVG can’t broadcast the five undercard races on Friday or the couple on Saturday and NBC Sports probably won’t have them. I probably won’t bother watching anything but the Classic. Can’t make any money on Chrome, but it would be nice if he’d finish the year perfect. I may bet on Dortmund in the Mile, too. I’d like to see him have a nice win after chasing Chrome’s tail all year.

Lady Shipman decided to skip the race to take on fillies (she was first on the AE) so Green Mask is in.

The Breeders’ Cup actually announced yesterday that the undercard races will be shown on TVg and Breederscup.com will have the races as well.

Suedois was first on the AE after Metaboss withdrew but had to also withdraw with also stress fracture in LF.
What I usually do is watch TVG until the last minute and then flip to NBC for the actual race. TVG has much less drivel than NBC/NBCSports
TVG has people who know which end eats and which end poops, which puts them ahead of most people on NBC Sports.
And eh. We had Metaboss in an undercard stakes last year. The way my week is going Arly will lose the rider at the gate.

And they don’t talk about hats
Suedois was in the Turf Sprint, not the Turf, so Metaboss’ scratch didn’t affect him. He was already in the main body of the Turf Sprint, he’d never been on the AE list.
Sorry, LaurieB and danceronice about your scratches. All those hopes and plans.
Been away a lot, took this and tomorrow afternoon off just to watch the BC. Signed up for Twinspires (thanks all for the suggestion!) and seem ready to go - no NBCSports network where I’m renting while working in FL.
So looking forward to the Distaff today. And curious, too, about Runhappy. Wish the horse would straighten his people out. At least he has Gary Stevens up.
Been so out-of-the-loop I have to do some reading! Although I just read about the O’Brien family taking over again. The juvenile filles turf will be interesting.
And good for Lady Eli. Arrogate still amazing? Or was that a fluke? Will it be CC?
Good luck to all betting, and may all the horses come home healthy.
Well, between Arly apparently stepping on himself and the jockey change (he’s now 0-4 with the horse with two different trainers), meh, but otoh I had the super and it paid $200, so between that and the trifecta in the Damascus I’m up $200 and can be a LITTLE less stingy with my wagers tomorrow! (At least I can feel reasonably secure singling Chrome…Songbird and Dortmund OUGHT to locks today, but…)

Whoops, sorry I misread the article…
I would like to say it won’t happen again but I can’t promise that
Confusion might be that Suedois’s scratch opened up an AE spot but the first drawn-in passed in favor of another race so that’s been getting talked about a lot.
SUPER nice run by Oscar Performance! Congrats to all his connections.
Hope he comes back in the same fine fashion next year.
You’d feel sorry for Runhappy, didn’t exactly hit the jackpot with humans he’s been connected with.
Hoping Runhappy is allowed to be done. He’s shown all summer that he’s done, would be nice if his connections actually listen.
Congrats to Tamarkuz’s team.
I also think Gun Runner ran a very nice 2nd.
I was thinking the same about Runhappy. Poor guy.
The Distaff is giving me anxiety.

I need some xanax to get through this…
Wow that Distaff!!
Now that’s a horse race!!!
My family thinks I’m nuts, sitting here screaming for Queen B.
Not sure a photo can get any closer than that.
Congrats to Beholder & all her connections for allowing us the privilege of watching her these past few years.
I think this also proves that Songbird is the real deal. Hope they bring her back for more next year.
