That was seriously one of the best races I have ever seen.
If I never see another horse race in my life, I will die a happy man having witnessed that.
That was special.
WOW that was an incredible race! Beholder is unbelievable. Songbird loses absolutely nothing in such a gritty fight.

Super, super race! What a battle. Beholder nipped her but both showed true class and grit. And for Songbird who has never had anyone look her in the eye, that was super.

Tried so so hard to watch/ customers came/ didn’t see it.
OMG, fabulous race. Beholder retires on top, Songbird showed toughness in her first real “test” and hopefully we will see more of her next year!

Yes! I was screaming so hard for Beholder–what a great win! And Songbird showed how special she is. I may not even watch the races tomorrow lol!

The passing of the torch. So glad to see Beholder go out on top - what a great horse winning a Gr 1 each each between her 2-6 year old season! Also looking forward to what Songbird will do next year, hope to see her take on open company at some point.

Loved Beholder, and sad to see her not quite get there as before this year. Then Songbird came along. I jumped ship, and then loved her.
But did have a back-up little itty bitty exacta for insurance. 
And was so happy for the mare. And her connections. And for all of us to have the memory of watching that race.

I don’t follow as closely as I used to, so I am watching with little knowledge of what is coming up.
Been following the ‘Derby’ since Kaui King won in what-65? But it isn’t as much fun anymore. I have always ended up watching it alone as most of my friends were not interested. After watching for so long I don’t know how this has happened, but I still always watch. So please excuse this ignorant question: What happened to the Derby winner? Is he retired? Injured?
I hope that is the only fatality of the BC. Godspeed Corona del Inca.
