How great that the turf is a mile and a half![/QUOTE]
Is that was?? I can’t list of ALL the races!
I just saw G3 100k turf race - is this a filler-race??
I think the Turf has always been a mile and a half.

Hubby & DD have been sent off to spend the afternoon doing other things. I have the house to myself for the rest of the day
Looking forward to this 2nd day of BC races!
Yesterday’s Breeder’s Cup races:
Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf - 1 mile on Turf
Breeders Cup Dirt Mile - 1 mile on Dirt
Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf - 1 Mile on Turf
Breeders Cup Distaff - 1 1/8 miles on Dirt
There was another dirt race last night after the Distaff that wasn’t Breeders Cup race, called the Twilight Derby, $200,000 1 1/8 miles Turf race.
Today’s Breeder’s Cup races:
14 Hands Winery Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies - 1 1/16 miles on Dirt
Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf - 1 1/4 miles on Turf
TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Sprint - 6 furlongs on Dirt
Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint - 6 1/2 furlongs on Turf
Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Juvenile - 1 1/6th miles on Dirt
Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf - 1 1/2 miles on Turf
Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint - 7 furlongs on Dirt
Breeders’ Cup Mile - 1 mile on Turf
Breeders’ Cup Classic - 1 1/4 miles on Dirt
There was the Juvenile Turf Sprint S., Golden State Juvenile S., and Senator Ken Maddy S. today on the undercard as well. The Marathon (yesterday) and Juvenile Turf Sprint S. today used to be BC races, but they didn’t draw well, so the Graded Stakes committee took away their graded stakes status and the Breeders Cup took away that status too.
The fillies sure are serving up some finishes this year.

It has always been 12f.
I’m such a fan of Lady Eli. That was so close.
1-1/4m in 1:57.7
Smoking hot
Another exciting, nail biting finish that came down to a head bob.
Hats of to Queen’s Trust & her connections for a very well run race.
It goes without saying that Lady Eli is still one of the best. I love watching her run. Hoping they bring her back next year.
wazzup with the sound? I cannot hear the call over the crowd. It usually isn’t that way.
So close for Lady Eli!!
And a nice win with Champagne Room.
Great racing so far today for sure.

You’re right, it usually isn’t. I had that same problem yesterday, even started a thread about it.
No problems today with my TV. I did all kinds of adjustments with my audio yesterday that didn’t really help. Turning off Surround Sound helped a little bit. I hope yours clears up!
Another down to the wire finish!
Congrats to Obviously & his connections in the BC Turf Sprint.
Finally gets his!

Ugh, another gorgeous Breeders Cup day and I just could not resist the sunshine. Spent the day in the saddle. Looks like I missed some good ones!
Jesus, will there be an open lengths win at this year’s BC? Another close finish.
Thought Not This Time was going to catch Classic Empire, but CE found a little extra.

Tamarkuz was drawing away nicely.
Guess I picked a good day to be stuck at work doing a double shift. I’m enjoying these races. I’m cracking up every time they show CC in his stall flipping his head around with all that attitude. He’s quite the animated dude.
I keep laughing at the 14 Hands commercials and the 14 Hands sign on the starting gate. I love ponies, but I doubt there is a single horse racing at Santa Anita today who is 14 hands! And the commercials are so silly they’re embarrassing. That guy wandering through a vineyard where the vines are over 14 hands high and then the race horses go galloping through – not a herd of ponies – race horses! The winery website says the name was inspired by the horses that used to live there, but that was many many years ago and what used to truly be Horse Heaven Hills are now mostly all vineyards.
I just don’t get it at all, but it does make me laugh.
