I wish they would talk up IHSA and similar programs a little. Pre-college me wanted to do the big eq so badly but never had the financial means or horseflesh (or mental preparedness, let’s be real lol) to ride H/J at that level. I never would have been able to ride in college if it wasn’t for IHSA. Kids who are watching without the means / connections to do the big eq should know that there are other ways to compete and grow as a rider in college.
I would sure hope not, but I can’t remember the percentage they’re supposed to bring back.
Oh no Ariana was having such a smooth round before the chip. She’ll be kicking herself for that after the season she’s had. What an adorable horse!
Grace Shipman just had a lovely round!
Amira Kettaneh did well.
I had to look up Southampton, Bermuda.
That’s cool it’s actually bermuda
Obsessed with Calogera’s Horses’s markings
Calogera Borrello’s horse is so lovely, what beautiful markings!
Jinx! It’s really striking
How does one ask a question of Ava and Brian?
I wasn’t paying attention.
DM the ClipMyHorse IG.
Ok, I just got back from my in person horse show. Did I miss anything?? Lol.
Edited to add: I think I just heard somebody say in the background that the flat phase will not start until 4:45 PM.
Ava just said Top 25 is coming back, but it’s actually Top 24? So it can be 3 groups of 8?
First round is in the books! And somehow most of my dishes are washed. Proving to myself that I CAN do real life things on Maclay Sunday…
Specs for the class is just “minimum of 24” - and sounds like they’re bringing 25 back this year if I heard correctly!
Looks like Top 24 is coming back:

Looks like we’re getting two flat groups of twelve riders.
Looks like Schuyler, the first rider, just missed the 24 person cutoff. That’s a long day.
What a bummer for her. I was hoping she’d hang on, I think she is a lovely rider!
I guess you missed Adriana Forte’s trip. It was equally as good as her Medal trip when she went first. She is tenth ATM.
