Tessa Downey just laid it down!
Tessa Downey just laid it down beautifully. Made it look effortless.
Wow Katelyn, that was forward thinking, smooth and flawless. So much to love.
Violet Wileyâs horse is SO cute but a little looky! Oh no not a stop!
It seems like this is going much quicker than the other finals this year. Just me?
Ava shows so much maturity in her commentary. Her emphasis on how one bad ride or one bad championship doesnât define a rider, and how the process and the experience is more important, was lovely to hear. Kudos to her.
Eleese Shillingfordâs gray has such a cute face!
125 after 5 hours - seems about the same as in the past.
I spy a belly spot on Isabel Flynnâs horse, I think! Cutie! And what a lovely scopey jumper, making that long distance into 4AB work.
May just be the replays helping, but it seemed like the Dover and the USHJA Jumping Seat had more time between riders.
Iâm going to be in and out of the house more than I expected today, but Iâm glad that I was able to watch Cody Rego go. That couldnât have been much better.
I am sorry I missed Noah, but youâd best bet Iâll be here for the second round with my popcorn!
Did/does anyone know who Abigail Roberts rides with? Thx!
What a round for Carlee McCutcheon. Iâll be curious to see what the judges do with the bobble on entrance.
Carlee is just beautiful to watch. She has such an empathetic feel and her horse goes just perfectly for her.
Gorgeous round for Kate Egan. I caught some of Carleeâs too and it was beautiful. Sheâs so lucky to come from such a horsey family!
I thought the bobble happened at the trot when she first came in. It looked like his right hind slipped. But then Ava said something about she broke and then picked up opposite lead. Is there somewhere to watch replay?
Iâm not sure where the replays are. I think he slipped in trot, tried to recover himself and ended up picking up the wrong lead at the canter so she had to bring him back down to correct.
You know, Kaitlyn Kielyâs horse did touch that green block, but that block was visibly dislodged before he tapped it.
I saw that at the Gucci wall, too. The block was already offset.
Is there any way for the trainer to point that out to a steward or something? Seems unfair if the jump was already compromised.
I think itâs probably like the frangibles in eventing where you can argue all day that everyone else touched it first, youâre the one who actually brought it down. Youâd have to be able to conclusively prove that your horse didnât touch it hard enough to knock it down had it not already been halfway off. Iâm currently too lazy to look up the current rule for video review.
