Didn’t Cristian say in the press conference that he won the work off, or did I mishear?
I did not hear him say that. But I could have missed it.
I just looked at the scores, and I did not see any scores posted for the test.
I must have misheard.
Now that the class is over, they are including the names of the horses with the results on Show Management.
Kate Laborde placed above many other riders whose horses didn’t have the Hi-Ho Silver moment that she did. It’s nice to see her tenacity rewarded.
Do they have the final scores or results anywhere? Curious where people outside of the top ten fell
I think MHM’s link shows that.
@MHM’s link: https://www.showmanagementsystem.com/horse_shows/horse_show/get/1565eea6-f79c-43b3-95ef-75798367e517/awards/c44f0a36-1bb2-45db-b9eb-8500a450abf5
I did not check to see if the rest of those results are in order after the top 10. But if you go to this link, you can check the scores for each individual for each round.
I don’t see scores listed for the test of the top four, so I’m not sure if they actually got numerical scores at that point in the proceedings.
I wish I remembered what he actually said , but perhaps he knew how well he’d have to do to make the Reserve honor.
I would love to see that press conference again if anyone finds the video posted anywhere. I have not come across it yet.
I had an entire conversation with Michelle Pfeiffer at Thermal about her dogs and was clueless that I was talking to a famous person. Until the next day when someone commented about her cute dogs and I realized who I’d been talking to.
I know somebody who had a long conversation at a party with the actor Liev Schreiber. And finally she asked him what he did for a living.
She was not a horse person, though. She was just oblivious in general.
I did at least recognize Diane Keaton. She used to go to the same dude ranch as my family. She and her group went on a trail ride during which the wrangler was making his usual small talk, asking people what they did for a living. He asked her. Not as a joke. Just didn’t know who she was. I think she answered that she was an actor.
I think Liev Schreiber said the same thing. Lol.
This is similar to a conversation I had with Glenn Close at WEF, but about where she got her quesadilla, not about cute dogs. Saw her the next day and the person I was with (not knowing I had spoken to her day prior) pointed her out with excitement. Whoopsies.
I do have distinct memories of Bruce walking around Duncraven/Four Seasons in NJ though and talking to Jessie about an awesome needlepoint belt she had with her two ponies Shamrock and Sebastian on it.
Wait, does the Maclay not do the “Honorable Mention” rider anymore who would have been 11th? And no best horse?
ETA: Maybe honorable mention was the Medal.
One of my favorite Bruce memories was from Tampa way back in the day. I was a few people behind him in line for the concession cart and when I got to the front I heard one of the girls working there ask the other if she thought it would be ok if she asked for “his” autograph. Girl 2 was like “who the F are you talking about?” And Girl 1 goes “Bruce Springsteen!! You’ve been serving him hot dogs for two weeks!!” He was just another pony dad in dirty jeans with a boot rag hanging out of his pocket.
The Jack must have been naughty enough to escape one time because he was dragging an empty leash.
