I hope to follow along here tomorrow for the COTH play by play of the show jumping phase.
Thanks to all of you for giving those of us who are unable to watch a good perspective of the competition.
For the few who still have DISH network, the show jumping phase can be seen on USA. channel 105, tomorrow 6-8 pm PST.
Following the jog on EN’s Threads thread:
Withdrawn before inspection:
Sarah Ennis/Action Lady (IRE)
Carlos Parra/Safira (BRA)
Sanna Siltakorpi/Bofey Click (FIN individual)
Carlos Diaz Fernandez / Taraje (ESP individual)
Shane Rose’s Virgil held but accepted upon representation.
South African rider had to jog twice due to “antics”.
For Japan, Cekatinka and MGH Grafton Street both sent to hold. Cekatinka withdrawn from hold box incurring 20 penalties and dropping Japan off podium (for now). MGH Grafton Street accepted upon representation.
A little treat for those of you up late. I put together all of the photos and videos from XC that DH and I took yesterday. The crowds were absolutely insane so some of them aren’t very clear. The videos with sound, especially at the end of the album where the last french rider came through (grey horse, videos 32 and 57 seconds long), really demonstrate the environment. Very very cool. Enjoy!
I know ther is an explanation, but how they can let the German rider show jump when he didn’t finish, defies the entire sport. I hate the rule allowing only 3 rider teams!
And demera, thank you SO much for this lovely gift, I don’t have time to look now, but I certainly will!
sad we will not see Action Lady - they were suburb and so much fun to watch on XC
i wonder whether Shane was able to jog his own horse
good to see you here again at this un Godly hour!
Only 7 PM here in Oz.
Wow! 44 jump penalties on the rider from Ecuador. I think you should be DQ’d after 4 or 5 rails down.
really like that horse for South Africa - only 9 y.o.
Fritskritt, you have been here forever, and I never knew you were in Oz!
Great round for South African rider with only 1 down & patting his horse half way round
CBC direct link to eventing show jumping for those looking:
Does anyone have an order of go for SJ this morning?
Fantastic there for Sir Greg and his young rider! I gave them a cheer
I really like the way the are doing the scoring. It is instant.
to the person looking for us to keep you up, only one clear so far. The cute Finnish horse that was the girl’s junior horse. Follow the score sheet would be a more accurate account.
Now that’s something they should have put on video.
40 is currently the approximate bubble score to qualify for the top 25 individual final.
The Canadians will need clear rounds and some help from others to make it. Karl has a good chance, Mike more of a long shot. hope we have at least one Canadian in the final 25.
