Smart course design. Everyone is going to want to cut in a little there to shorten the distance. Bummer because the rest of the trip was so solid.

Cecelia Perry’s horse was beautifully turned out.
Did I hear them say Paris’s horse came off the lead behind early on course? I glanced down and didn’t see it.
I looked away and missed that.
Yes, seemed like she stepped on the gas down the line from 1-2 and he just lost his rhythm behind.

There are no AQHA “nationals”. 
I agree with Ava that I think this will be the round to chase so far.
Olivia’s horse has got a ginormous step! Lovely second round.
Olivia just set an example on how to ride that inside turn. Excellent control of the hind end to set him up straight for the combination in the last stride.

Olivia really hugged the standard instead of the rail in that tight turn to the final 3 fences. Really helped keep it smooth where some others have gotten a little sticky.

Another lovely round by Maddy. No inside turn, but super smooth.
Maddie says “I don’t need no stinkin’ inside turn, I’m just gonna come in here and ride my horse.” Excellently done.

Beautiful ride by Maddie. Smooth and solid. I didn’t mind the wider turn to the combination since everything matched so perfectly, but it might make a difference in the final placings.
