@Arzny, congrats on Tipsy’s new home! And good luck on this cycle. In some ways, I enjoyed not being responsible for my girls on the last cycle. But the lack of control was a real stress for my type A personality.

I’m giving myself an ulcer since we only really have two chances before it’s too late. We are also definitely going to be the weakest mare in this stallions book - so we’ll get bumped any time another mare needs him . Not the most optimal time to be going with a new vet!

My boy’s first baby arrived @sixpoundfarm last night! It is kind of surreal to think 4 years ago I was waiting on a baby text from her to know whether he would be mine or not (depending on the plumbing) and here we are again. Time flies. Isn’t she lovely? Reveille SPF x Bentinov Elite - I couldn’t be any luckier to have such a fantastic mare for his first foal.

Anyone else’s mare going longer than usual for no apparent reason this year…?? Day 337 today and still no signs she’s even “close”…

My trainer’s mare went a week longer than her last foal, foaling was textbook at least.

@JBCool @Knubbsy k… this is what im hearing on Facebook from other fellow breeders as well. Interesting that so many mares went longer this year… maybe a weather thing…?

Anne’s last foal of the year is supposed to arrive over Memorial Day weekend, bit she’s thinking it will go over. As of last a weekend, the mare did not have that “absolutely full of baby” look. She’s palomino (Ancan Summers Mist) and the sire is black (Ancan MidKnight Salute). He’s out of the dam (Ancan Morning Dove) of this year’s bay foal. Dove is a half sister to my Lola.

My mare is at 349 days. Still waiting. It’s like someone hit the pause button.
