Abusive photos from a Tom Olive clinic, Ocala, FL

Good for you, CD! If you need any help or backup just PM me.

“The only thing necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.”

Finally getting somewhere. My complaint is being forwarded to (personnel). They are going to call me next week.

Good for you, CrowneDragon. This man is one sick piece of work. Those poor horses! shudder

The whole thing is bad but notice all the sweat on his back. I know it’s FL but to sweat like that?? Scary looking, not sure why but it shows (in my opinion) he was really working this filly over.

Not to defend him…but me standing still in August in Alabama? Drenched.

Sent a picture to Rate My Horse Pro. Maybe they know something about him

I joined Rate My Pro just to post this, but they removed my post.

For one thing, I wasn’t there.

For another thing, none of the questions apply to using commonly accepted training principles.

And, finally, they don’t allow links.

Since I wasn’t at the clinic, all I have is the pictures, and they won’t take links to pictures.

The video of the horse being beaten in the wash rack is gone. It’s not easy to save videos from Facebook. I asked my technological-genius son to try to save it for me, but he couldn’t get it.

But let me describe it. The horse was in a washrack. He had reared up and was flailing his front legs like The Black Stallion. And Tom was lashing his exposed belly with a rope.

I’m grateful to have a place (here) where this won’t be deleted if Tom complains. Which I’m sure he will.

If he’s okay with his training methods, why complain? He should be ashamed of what he does, but if he thinks in some universe he’s a horse trainer, why complain about pics being posted?

No one should treat an animal this way, for any reason.

It’s just a moment in time <sarcasm>

I couldn’t open some of the links…or his website. Guess maybe someone got thru to him that it’s not acceptable training.

I think someone got through to him that it’s not acceptable to post pictures of that kind of training.

Okay, for any of you types who can do technical things on youtube and FB. I have done something like putting a “ss” in the middle of the address for a video. This allows you to download the video to your computer, to save it. It’s been several years ago the last I did it and can’t remember how exactly I did it. Also, it was on another laptop, if that makes any difference.

I just completed the Mustang Makeover this weekend and this guy was NOT in it. He has not been in one since 2008. His only one.

Cindyg, please check your PMs.

If anyone knows the girl who first posted the photos of the clinic, please PM me. Thanks.

I’m going to be mum for a while, whilst things move forward. I am going to remove a few details in previous posts that I think may provide too much information. I will continue to do what I can to enable whatever will move things forward, even if I’m not sharing that information here. I think being quiet is the best way forward for the time being.

Also, in the future, there appears to be an easy way to save videos on Facebook. In the link for the page, change the “www” to “m” (example: www.facebook.com becomes m.facebook.com) and then you can right click on the video and choose “save as”.

Inca, I don’t know how an owner could stand by as their horse gets spur scars. It is all too common, though. Just have a quick Google of walking horse abuse and you’ll find horror beyond comprehension-- this obsessive desire to “create” (by force) without empathy for the animal is disturbingly commonplace.

Hey everybody. Sorry I’m late.

Anyway, my sister made the post, I took the pics and was there both days.

The post was not removed from FB, just made private. We’ve been in contact with PETA, SHARK, the news, etc. They recommended to make it private for now. It will be made public again sometime in the future.

We have been banned from the property and from speaking to them ever again. (We’ve been friends for years) BUT still have a friend on the inside. She helped do damage control on the second day. She had her gelding lined up for Tom to work with on the first day, and is the old owner of Juno. (She sold her right before the clinic much to her regret) Percy got minimal beating with the golf club, which she promptly cut off.

Misty is still swollen and raw, and of course still lame.

Everyone is taking turns riding Juno, minus her of course.

I took hundreds of pics, but I can’t post any here that I can tell, so if you would like to see them pm me or whatever.

(I literally like just joined this thing, have no idea how it works)

Hey SimplyAlice13! No, you can’t post pictures here unless you purchase a premium membership. You can post them somewhere else, then link them here.

There’s a little more going on that you making that one thread private because TWO complete threads were REMOVED from Life with Oden – not just the videos and pictures, but the conversations.

Facebook did not communicate with me to tell me that they were removing the threads. They just disappeared. I have to assume Tom complained and caused that.

It’s so disturbing to hear that Misty is still swollen and raw. I assume that’s the 18YO Andalusian who was “trained” to “lie down”?

ETA: Don’t get involved with PETA!
