Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

If you need anything please let us know…I too would also be more than happy to purchase them and send them to you too! I MEAN it…whatever you need just say so!

Hang in there. I know from having my daughter sick when she was young how frustrating it can be. They cant talk and you cant reason with them like you can an adult! The look in their eyes are what kills you!..I know, I know…

Hang in there…it will be OK! Most of all, which is hard, you need to get some rest too! Not sleeping and up and down stress will mess up your mind really fast! Aiden needs his mommy…so you need to take care of yourself too!!!

Big Hug from Texas…wish I was closer to come see you!

Open your windows!!! I’ve got the pony bells out and they are A’JINGLING!!!

Poor Aiden!! Get strength from all our prayers Aiden…and hear our jingles! Feel better soon!!

Coreene,

You are sooo right on to remember this. I wish there was something we could do for them. I understand and respect their privacy but they are a HUGE part of this. Wish they could share die loff!

I haven’t done a single errand today because I don’t want to leave the computer in case there are more updates. How long is the surgery is expected to take?

And I vote that Knowonder’s BB title be permanently changed to WONDER WOMAN. It only seems appropriate for her selfless gift (that, God willing, she will never have to give…).

Speaking of pictures, is there one posted of Sara? I would like to put a face to the name. I have seen pictures of Lisa, Joey and Aiden, so I can imagine them as they wait out this excrutiating time.

Please, God, let this new liver work perfectly for Aiden.

So I lied. Horses ARE my whole life. I have no other life at all.....

talloaks, thanks for your encouraging story of your brave son. Ist’t it wonderful to prove doctors wrong and let God be involved? He wanted your son to enjoy his 30 years and even get married. I’m sure he is cheering for little Aiden just like the rest of us. Prayers are still coming from MD.

Best wishes.

Prayers being sent.

Thanks God, for answering our prayers, and keeping little Aiden safe. Not that I ever doubted You, of course but there WERE a couple of moments when I was just a LITTLE nervous! I guess those angels everyone called up have been making quite a rukus up there, huh? Well, I guess we are praying for ourselves and our loved ones this Christmas as well as for little Aiden. We all need to believe in something greater than ourselves when we our powerless to change the frightening things that happen in life.

Many prayers and jingles coming your way…Hang in there little Aiden~ you ARE a fighter~ to the Hawk family & Knowonder~ stay strong & stay positive! They say the darkest hour is just before dawn~ things will get better! Love you all! SUZ

I took my little boy to see Santa tonight (NOT a big hit with Evan…Santa’s pretty darn scary to a 2 year old if you think about it!) and the little boy in front of us was a cute, active little guy whose mom and dad said he’d had a liver transplant about a year ago. HE smiled for Santa and seemed delighted–after what he’d been through a big bearded guy in red velour was no big deal, I figure! I immediately thought of you, sweetie, and reminded myself to say an extra prayer for you and your family. I hope it’s a sign that you will be getting your new liver for Christmas!

XOXOXO

AIDEN UPDATE!!!

Hello all. Went to see Aiden and family today and Lisa asked me to post an update since she hasn’t had time (taking a shower and a short much needed break!). Aiden’s lung is re-inflated!!! He is doing super!! His liver and kidney values are all perfect; better than perfect!! That’s about it…he is calm and doing well. They had to suction some crud out of his lungs, and he’s still swollen, but absolutely nothing serious. We got to meet Lisa, Joey, Mother RolexH and Knowonderwoman. What a great group of people!!! Anyway, Lisa will probably post later, but I just wanted to give ya’ll a heads up on the great Aiden news!!! Happy New year everyone.

Rest so you can fight. I would give you any strength I’ve got, little one, and I will be praying.

This is such great news. To think that a month ago you watched your baby be wheeled into an operating room, not knowing if you would see him alive again. The power of that emotion is too great for most of us to comprehend. I understand it, as I told you, because my niece was born with a birth defect (cleft palate) and had to have surgery at three months of age. (She’s actually had surgery four times, three in her first year of life.) When it reached the point in the operating area, where my sister couldn’t accompany her, and had to say goodbye to her, it was really emotional and very frightening. You just have to look up and pray for the best.

And your prayers have been answered! And it’s patronizing, almost, to even say I know you and Joey are thankful. It’s so much more than that. You have a completely different life now. Your baby has a completely different life now. It’s almost as if the sick Aiden did die, and the real Aiden who was hiding within that shell has emerged. This is such a gift … it has been given to you with conditions - its power doesn’t distinguish with Aiden, it ignites with Aiden. I’m anxious to see what you and Joey do to make sure it always burns bright.

I do wonder about this … since Joey is involved in landscape, could he do temporary work in ATL? I know the power of our community is really great and if it’s a possibility, we could do whatever we can to help you out some more.

Much love,

Uncle Robby

They were able to totaly close him up, his swelling had gone down enough. He has a severed lymphnode and it is leaking stuff (whatever lymphnodes leak) so the sutured it up as well. He has done wonderfully all day, and I have even better news!!

His bili is now 1.0!!
His AST is now28 and ALT 56!!! All almost perfect! His liver is wonderful.

OKay I was rolling onthe floor reading your posts. Thanks I needed that laugh! Firstly, yes I thought of showing the pictures of my furry legs, but decided to save that for another day. LOL Also, SC, HELLO!!! Florida managed to beat some little team this year, umm who was it??? Oh yes, the bulldogs! Oh sorry dawgs, I forgot you guys spell your own special way Hahaha Thridly, Joey is a hottie!!! I am the luckiest!! Our entire relationship was long distance, we never lived in the same state until we were married! (well it sounds weirder than it is, we only lived three hours apart hee hee hee. But we are the most in love couple ever!)

Okay I wanted to post this seperatly but I am gonna add it here. I want to say a little something special tou our knowonder. Sara, you scared me to death today. I want you to know Our entire family loves you and thank you. I wish I could be there to nurse you. (HA! what a nurse i would be!!) You are truelly amazing.
You see I just found out, Sara did not want to upset me, but she has been seeing a doctor all week for a potential blood clot in her leg from the angiogram!! This couldbe very dangerous. I was terrified. I didn’t know which hospital to go to today. Thank God, Sara is fine. She has a hematoma where they put the thing in her leg. No clot. Phew!! I was so worried. But amso thankful for you as a friend. Just wanted everyone else to know too. Still sacrafising for Aiden. Our wonder-woman.

OKay I must get back to the little guy. I will post more photos later. I can’t wait. XOXOXOX He is looking great!! Almost time for his visitors and party!!!
