For those of you who like science fiction–this technically does not have horses in it but it does have horse-like animals that are ridden, although they are not the center of the story. And it is free!! I just finished it and there are four sequels. This was written by a friend of mine who lives in the UK. I’ve known him for almost 30 years and just found out a couple of years ago, when he published this book, that he’s a very talented writer. His books have won numerous awards so I thought I’d give him a plug. Let me know if you like it.

I’ve never tried it, but read this -
go to “manage your content and devices” under “Your Account.” Select the book in the checkbox and click on “Actions,” where you will see “loan this title” as a choice. In two weeks after loaning the book will automatically “return” to your account. You can only loan it once.
What Pat9 wrote summarizes what it says in the link I just posted, but you should know one other thing. Not all books can be loaned. I just played around with mine, and it looks like most of my “horse books” can, but some of the others can’t.
