** ALERT! -- Free Horse-Related Kindle Book -- ALERT! **

UK friends, my work of eventing fiction Fortune’s Fool is currently on sale for £ .99 as a Kindle Countdown deal!

Plenty of pocket change left over to enjoy it with a 99 Flake (if they still have 99 Flakes…it’s been many years since I have been able to enjoy one!)

If any aspiring equestrian fiction writers out there are looking for an equestrian editor, I’d love to be of service! I have fifteen years of editorial experience and twice as much horse sense!

Your book looks interesting, and I am a Kindle Unlimited member — in the US. When I clicked to ‘read it for free with Kindle Unlimited’ it tried to get me to sign up for a 30 day trial.

Is there a reason your book is only available to UK readers who are members of K.U.?? Aren’t most books available internationally? This is probably Amazon trying to make more money, but it still seems strange.

Lord Helpus, I’m so sorry for the confusion! My book is available in the U.S. but isn’t currently on sale in the U.S. (although it is priced very reasonably at $2.99) and this thread was just reserved for books priced at a discount! And it is available through Kindle Unlimited to all U.S. readers!

Here is the U.S. link:

Kindle allows authors to offer their books as Kindle Countdown deals once every quarter in both the U.S. and the U.K. markets. I had already offered it at a discount in the U.S. market for the designated period and now it is temporarily on sale in the U.K. I realize that having two different markets is confusing for readers! I only keep close track of the ‘different’ Amazon homepages and these rules because I am a seller.

I read both of Impractical Horseman’s books on Kindle Unlimited (U.S. version) and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Yes I did! Thank you so much! And I am at work on the sequel right now–I hope it will be out by fall of 2016 at the latest and hopefully earlier!

I agree with you about Appaloosa Summer–it’s a wonderful book!

I just found this thread… oh dear, NOT good for someone who has TOO much to do, too MANY horses, and no time to read… And was (once upon a time) a HORSE BOOK DEALER… Oh dear…

Have a finished horse novel - must get it out there… No time to do it if I am reading everyone else’s…

Seriously…I am an avid reader of teen/pre-teenhorse fiction (both vintage an new) and this is a fabulous read.

Thank you so much–as always Silk! I am almost done with the sequel…but then comes the dreaded process of editing…

Appaloosa Summer by Tudor Robins is free today (and today only) on Kindle:

I really enjoyed this book particularly because the boy the heroine is in love with is intelligent and vulnerable, not crazy and controlling.

A few new freebie titles. Enjoy

Just finished Fortune’s Fool. While I enjoyed the story, it is in dire need of a good editor! Too many grammatical errors and unpolished sentences.
Content was good though, and the eventing scene fairly accurate. I would read a sequel (as long as it was properly proof read and edited.)

Hi everyone! I don’t normally do this but for a very limited time I’m offering Fortune’s Fool for free in the Kindle store on Amazon! From 4/5-4/7:

http://www.amazon.com/Fortunes-Fool-Mary-Pagones-ebook/dp/B00ZAO9E58/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1433185819&sr=8-1

So if you’re just casually curious about the book but haven’t been sure if you should choose Fortune’s Fool versus any number of other horse-related works of fiction…now is a good time to download it because if you act now, you don’t have to choose!

Awesome! Thanks.
