Another New Horse - It's Bo!

The Peeps reference takes me back to my much missed Grumpy Old Man who had terrible teeth. He couldn’t have Starlite mints anymore, so I used to stockpile the peppermint ones that you could get at Xmas for him!🥲

He was highly offended if I made him share the Peeps with me.

I’m not sure I knew they made peppermint Peeps! Disappointingly, none of mine care for peppermints either. I still have not found any treats that Bo really likes.

My mother loves peeps, but stale.

I prefer mine newly hatched, soft and chewy.

Try plain dry pasta. Any shape.
It may have been a COTH idea, but all of mine have LOFFED it.

I used to keep a box of spaghetti for kids to feed the horses.
Kept little fingers safe from hooverlips & teeth.

I’m afraid that might be kind of pokey for Mr. Toothless, unless he crunches it up with his front teeth first?

Doesn’t have to be the pokey (:face_with_hand_over_mouth:) shape.
Macaroni, penne, even orzo.

Tip is not surprised Bo does not care for Peeps. Discerning horses don’t. Tip, who is not discerning in any way, won’t touch those nasty things. Give Bo a real treat, like those Paddock Cakes with the gummy frogs on top.

These soft flax, applesauce, and molasses muffins sound good. You could bake them in your spare time.

Not sure I missed this but I just read the entire thread. Great to hear he is doing better!

Have you tried cinnamon? I have one horse that goes crazy over cinnamon. It’s her favorite food. I have cinnamon muffins and she loves those.

Hey Bo, it’s Monday… your fan club needs an update for the 21st week (when do I start counting in months?).

Good question. I was asking when we stop counting human’s ages in months today when a friend of a friend started talking about her 30 month old baby. Why not 2 1/2 year old? Should I start saying I’m a 591 month old?

 I’m pretty sure I stopped referring to my kid’s age in months after she turned 1.

It’s been 140 days, according to the calculator I looked at. And this is the beginning of the 21st week, apparently (20 weeks completed), so I’m not sure if I was always counting that way or if I skipped one somewhere. At any rate, I will definitely stop counting by weeks when we get to the 6 month mark - May 21st! Or whenever I feel he’s no longer in “rehab” status. He’s almost there, I’m still just waiting for a tiny bit more fat cover on the top.

The remodeling across his nose looks like he may have worn a tie-down usually used on rope horses. A calf roping horse, probably.

He looks better all the time! So impressed with all you’ve done with the handsome fellow.

Count me in Bo’s fan club, too. He is such a cool dude, and I couldn’t be happier about his soft landing.

May 21 was DH’s Bday.
He’d have been thrilled to share the day with Bo :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Agree, you need to list B4 & After pics.
Some of us (Me!) are too lazy to scroll through 1K+ to see Day 1 :smirk:
