No, no never sell or give away a blanket that is anywhere close to fitting something you have. Or might have in the future in the unlikely event it does not get put into service as a replacement due to shenanigans or wear and tear.
I mean, I don’t recall the last time I had a horse who was an 84… Cooper should fit fine in a 78, the 84 was like a giant dress on him. He may bulk out some, but not that much if I hadn’t spent an absolute fortune outfitting the kids in fly gear, I’d probably just stow it away for future use. But these days, every dollar counts! And I need to go pick up more alfalfa (which is $700 a ton these days… ) this week.
I managed to snag a few pictures in between pulling fly sheets while hustling horses back in for dinner before the next thunderstorm rolls in.
Where’s the food?
If you don’t have food, I go. You can look at my booty as I walk away.
How 'bout food now? Don’t walk away from me…
No pets. FOOD. (Also a wonderful shot of his bench-y knees…)
Beautiful shiny sleek glossy coppery Bo!
(With those ear covers you look like the Easter Bunny, hunny.)
He does look good!
And yes, an 84" Rambo would make a pretty good RV cover.
Nonsense…you sell it and in 6 month you will end up with a cute Clyde cross somebody dumped…that trim is hard to resist.
You never know. You didn’t need a misrepresented, toothless ex ranch horse either.
The inn is FULL I tell you I don’t have any more space if I want to be able to rotate fields, and unless one of these horses starts making money instead of eating it, this is my limit. I still need to build a barn. And an outdoor.
In fact, I’m currently mulling over ways to make the whole thing less complicated. Because Bo and his special needs are wearing me down after 6 months. Feeding 4x a day in itself is kind of restrictive, but I didn’t really think through how much extra work I was making for myself with the soaked cubes.
He sure does look good though.
'scuz me ma’am, you are aware that I don’t like wearing clothes?
Prior to donning fly gear, we went for a short little tour bareback in a halter. He actually rides better in a halter, so I may try out my fluffy-nose hack on him next time.
he is getting that wonderful copper shine! Poor Bo - to be so put upon and loved that he has to wear a fly sheet and mask! The horror!! I’m glad that his new wardrobe is working for him.
I’m getting flashbacks of A Christmas Story when they put Randy’s snowsuit on
(not that Bo’s fly gear is excessive! His distaste for it just makes me laugh)
When mum puts the blingy bridle on you and says you’re a fancy boy now, but you’re not sure…
How does I look?
I like the way you think.
Even more handsome, Bo! I didn’t think that was possible.
He is quite the looker, even to my ‘sporthorse’ eye. I bet he was absolutely stunning as a young horse (and probably something of a handful!).
Suitable bling for the best boy
Without muskeeters.
Bo looks guilty of something, what’s he been up to ?
