It makes it so much easier to manage the " challenging ones" when you either work from home or don’t have an off the place job. I hope she can get him squared away.

End of week update:
Bo is finishing his meals 
His new person just loves him to death and he’s fitting right in perfectly. She sent me some pics day before yesterday and he doesn’t appear to have lost any weight from the transition or the cold snap, so I’d say it’s going well.
I’ll go visit him in a couple weeks to touch up his feet and check up on him, expect pics then!

I’m back!
He’s doing well. He has slimmed down a tiny bit over the top line and while his new servant is concerned about it, I am not really. Apparently he’s very active with his new friends, she’s feeding him as much as he will eat and I’ve reassured her that that’s really the best that can be done. If he loses more then we will reevaluate and come up with a plan but I don’t see anything to worry about yet. The extra weight probably isn’t helpful on his joints anyway.

I wouldn’t want to see him lose more weight, but I think the weight he’s at is perfect. He looks like a fit, well-fed horse.

I wouldn’t either, but I’ll be back to do his feet again next month so if he’s not holding steady we will work on coming up with ways to add calories without more volume/without having to lock him and his friends up for hours. It’s tricky, but when has it not been with him

Does Bo have pony minions now?
DONKEYS! He has donkeys. And he is obsessed with them, I’m told, herding them this way and that and going wherever they go. I don’t know if he thinks he’s a donkey, or if he had a donk friend before, or if he thinks they are youngsters that need him to be their watchful grandpa 
but they stood in the nearest stall while I trimmed his feet, occasionally making sad donk noises at him until I returned their leader.
Lessee is admittedly a bit disappointed that he’s so into the donkeys and not the other horse who he was supposed to be companion for, but Bo is the glue that keeps them all hanging out together so it works.
