Anybody know their TB's racing name?

Mine is a 10yo named We All Love Aleyna. Won about $450K & stakes placed. Good story: A few weeks ago I had just come out of the show jumping ring at an event and a lady came up and asked if he’d raced. I said, “Oh yes” and told her his name. She said, “I thought so. A group of us followed him when he was running and always wondered what became of him.” And then she took a bunch of photos for her friends. She said they were excited when his younger sister came to the track, but apparently she was injured & never ran.

Fleetswell was our very first
Talented Tiger was my first one
Link And Flirt is our oldest
Proper Timing is our current (I know that is his racing name, and is what he shows under too)

Oooooh! I love talking about my boy!

He raced under the name P Day. I got him for $500 from someone who was going to ship him to New Holland if I didn’t take him.

His racing career was much more impressive than anything he did with me, 57 starts (over a almost 10 year career) 17 wins, 12 places, 11 shows, including a win in the Baltimore Breeders Cup Handicap (g3) and 2 shows in the Maryland Million Handicap. Career earnings were almost $700,000.
I evented him for 2 years before we had to retire him because of some issues with his circulation in his legs. Now he is a pasture ornament at my parents farm and spends his days gorging himself on hay

Zen’s Secret ReaZen

1 win, 1 place, 1 show in 27 starts at Fairmount in IL

Bred and trained by Oscar Wells Sr (whose picture is now up in the KY Horse Park!)

Dam = Zen It Happened (sire = Zen)
Sire = Secret Counsel (sire = Secretariat)

Squillion aka “Basco” and WakiNomad aka “Wakerdoodles”.

Basco wasn’t that great of a runner (3-4 placings I think), but Waki won a few races. I watched video of one of his winning races and holy crap that horse had speed. He turned it on and made the other horses look like they were standing still.

G R Ranger (1989)

I find it funny that his sire’s name Bumpy has now been recycled. Really?

A True Angel. and she is. 21 starts. Born at Madera Thoroughbreds. Mama is True Irish and pops is Slew of Angels by Slew of Gold by Seattle Slew. I think she is the best mare ever!!!

Guilty
I have a TB who definitely raced (has pin firing scars), but we don’t have his papers, his name is unknown, and his tattoo appears tampered with. SO yep I don’t know mine! Wish I did though…does anyone have any advice for reading tattoos with 2 unreadable letters?

Broke But Happy

Chief Twelvepack ?

Major Lee

Belle’s Secret out of Crisp Crust and by Nijinsky II.

Jordans Hope - Our Emblem/Domask China

My old horse was Alarmingly.

Numbers Runner (1981–2003) by Ole Bob Bowers and Tippy’s Million…

breeder was Charles Crommer of MI.

Raced 63 times: (7) firsts, (6) second (6) third–didn’t earn an impressive amount of $$ but ended up in virginia where I purchased him and had a blast with him for the remaining years of his life :D. He taught me sooooo much! RIP you old fart!

Isaac’s Light, out of Carbon Copy, by a stallion I don’t remember. Weirdest name, nothing about Isaac or light in his bloodlines.

Southerby 2003 g by Belong to Me out of Fiscal Gold. Paternal grandsire Danzig, maternal grandsire Slew o Gold by Seattle Slew. He is a big bay boy, looks more like a warmblood than TB. Finished his first season of eventing clear XC in all runs and moved up to Novice after 3 BN! He is a dressage king as well but we tend to have a dang rail in SJ. Winter homework! Very talented but very opinionated…

Save N The Day 2007 m by Daylight Savings out of Burmese Diplomat. Her paternal grandsire is Sky Classic (CAN hall of famer) and great grandsire is Nijinsky II (CAN hall of famer). She started her eventing career this season after a total of 8 weeks training (between Oct and May… We had alot of issues (strangles, huge hole in leg from a seroma) over the winter) at BN and is a XC machine and super careful and catty SJ. She placed every time but our last two events I planned this season we had to scratch cuz she had colic surgery:( hoping for a complete recovery because she makes me feel that she “Is THE ONE!”

'99 Edition - JOHNPLZPHONEHOME

raced as 2 and 3 year old miserably in KY and OH.

How can you find out where your horse raced and what they won? I used to know the site, and I had a temp membership.

If anyone can look for me, my OTTB is named Mudders Day. 1997 model. TIA.

Absolutely!!

Code Wind - 1994G, MD, had 75 starts, found at rescue in 2002, thus starting the saga. lol Then came the others…
Watral’s Nat Star - 2000G Flunked out of racing in NY.
Rudy S - 2000G, NY bred, last raced at Suffolk Downs
Snake River - 2000G, FL bred, last raced at Suffolk Downs.

Actually… if you can get the first letter, and at least two of the digits (it is a letter followed by 5 numbers), and you have the horse’s full description (ALL white markings - even a few white hairs on the forehead might count), you can search a partial tattoo pretty easily at tjcis.com. It’s free (you do have to register or have an equineline account but it doesn’t cost anything). If you don’t have the first letter, it’s still doable if you know the horse’s age.

If you want to PM me what you have, I’ll happily take a stab at it

equibase.com  Just plug your horse’s name into the search box up towards the top right of the screen.

I am sad to inform you your horse was pretty much an abject failure at the track, 6 starts, never made third, though did win a whopping $252  (raced at Portland Meadows and Grants Pass)

My guy is “Here Comes Tiger” and it describes him perfectly!
