I hear you, but there is only so much a family can do to “help” an adult child. If said child refuses to get/continue counseling and therapy, and instead continues down a path toward self-destruction (and destroying others along the way), the family is in the unfortunate situation of knowing things aren’t going to end well. It isn’t a matter of “if” something bad happens, it is a matter of “when.”
(It does of course help if the parents aren’t also delusional about the child’s shortcomings.)
They’re different verdicts. They imply different findings of facts by the jury and they have different consequences. They are different forms of acquittal. Very different.
Must have been a terrible shock to michael that , although he shot her, she remaied lucid enough to call 911 for assistance as evidenced on the heart wrenching call played during the trail to tell them who did it and then fight back before she lost too much blood to reman conscious.
Oh, right, you’re correct ED call was not recorded.
He wrote it all down afterwards.
But that 911 call ends with Heymer asking who’s the shooter
They very specifically had Heymer ID himself in the call and it was at the very end that he is heard.
Well after the commands to get dog inside, I believe
(somewhere I have my own transcription of that call that I wrote down, ill see if I can find it)
Well that’s interesting.
So the dog couldn’t have hit it hard causing it to open.
Plus the narrative of the “victims” states a certain sequence of events. The findings for RG part of it WAS a straight not guilty so clearly the story was not believed.
Here’s my transcript.
It is very clear that RG us telling LK to get the (expletive) dog in the house. Its stated shortly after LK hands him the phone.
Heymer first clearly audible comment on the call:
“Get on the ground, if you F’in move I will F’in kill you.”
Previous to that but unheard apparently he asks where shooter us as RG states “… right here…”
Again…if they are that close together, and LK handed RG the phone….how does RG restrain /wrestle/chokehold MB while talking to 911 at the same time…and how does he not realize she has “been shot”?
The 911 call convinces me that RG shot LK and he wasn’t aware of how badly she was hurt until she passed out and was unable to help him fix up the scene by putting the dog away before the police showed up.
You (and Seeker1) seem to be misunderstanding what I’m saying, here. Someone in the midst of a mental breakdown is not, by definition, fully sane. People whose minds have cracked are not in their right mind and it’s a roll of dice (and genetics) how they will respond to continued trauma.
I never said I’d have taken a gun to confront my abuser. I said, under such abuse, I fully expect that I would have had a mental breakdown as well.
LK’s campaign to ruin MB’s life (her words, under oath) broke that man and that’s on her. She could have stopped any time, left at any time, but she just kept escalating. I don’t know what she thought her end game was but you can’t count on a man you’ve driven crazy to behave rationally.
I remember hearing LOTS of testimony about how the trainer client relationship had gone off the rails, EVERYONE wanted LK, RG and the horses to move on to a new facility, but she was determined not to.
At a certain point, the situation stopped being about trainer vs client, and really centered on landlord tenant issues.
Watch mhg testimony again focusing on the txts between michael and her. You seem to remember and spew what you want to remember…not the actual truth as reported in the trial. Mhg and mb had many txts between them discussing how to harass lauren instead of handling through calm conversation and the courts. They had many other options.
