No. You can only require drug tests as an employer or for sports where drug testing is within their rules. Customers/clients can’t be required to test clean. In reality, RG isn’t even a boarder, LK is!

Addiction comes in many forms and all are ugly for all involved. It’s a never-ending need for the one addicted and always waiting for “what next” for family members and significant others. I have true sympathy for addicts but there comes a time when others have to make decisions rather than being the witnesses or enablers.

I wanted to put this here as a little reminder of LK’s stance on how to ask boarders to leave barns.

I’d say, try to figure out a way to make her believe your barn just isn’t the right fit, without making it personal. It’s very difficult to come back from that & you should always try & part ways on the most decent terms possible. JMHO

So MB did try to get LK to leave and make her believe the barn wasn’t the right fit. His lawyer tried to get her to leave. Her father tried to get her to leave. It just didn’t work. And yes - before anyone misquotes me - LK did say “without making it personal” - but after weeks of meetings and discussions between involved parties, and harassment and threats from LK, it did get personal (thought not with intent - per the NGRI ruling).

Not according to New Jersey tenant law. I base this partly on your explanations of New York tenant law, reading the for the public New Jersey helpful guidelines, and the law segments available online and posted by others all very informative.

After 30 days, they had tenant rights and evictions were to be according to law. Her testified and admitted behavior should have enabled him to evict her under the 3 day section (with time added to get time on a judge’s schedule as explained by yourself and/or others) for being disorderly. The horses could have a 30 day notice to leave.

He gave an unfiled notice, then if not acted on, he could file, then once the time was up and the paperwork signed, have LE evict her.

Yes. Yes… I do doubt this.

LK was on social media and the forums posting about her situation in September of 2019. She was routinely engaging with everyone on these forums right up until she was banned. Her social media went private and quiet during the actual criminal trial, but she got on YouTube almost immediately afterwards… engaging with anyone and everyone. I’m not friends with her on social media, and have no idea what she is saying on her now private accounts…

Anyway… I agree that the ongoing discussion across social media must be agitating and upsetting her. But it’s complicated. She is objectively and obviously an attention seeking person, and even negative attention compels her.

I do not suspect she has any wish to EVER experience a gun shot again. She did go through a horrible physical trauma. My guess is she will avoid conflict in the future that could conceivably get that volatile, and lead to that sort of horror. But battling it out with words on keyboards in a public way? Yeah… she’s not particularly averse to that, from what I can tell, regardless of how harsh the discussion and debate gets.

Frankly, the more combative the discussion on social media is… the more it seems she wants to engage in it… either personally, or via alleged proxies from her personal inner circle.

I don’t know what CH thought, but IIRC, it was a text to LK (and possibly JK) from RG who had just had had a run-in with the farrier about shoeing LK’s horses the morning of 8/7/19. RG was at the barn. LK was at the house and when she got the text that the farrier was not going to shoe her horses, she composed the infamous “Finish the Bastard” and texted it back.

I don’t care that he wanted her to leave. What I care about is that Michael was telling her one thing and MHG was telling her something else.

AGAIN, it’s noteworthy that the mother of a 40 something year old woman, who is an adult amateur dressage rider, would be focused like this on her daughter’s prior trainer’s ex girlfriend.

MHG was undoubtedly a crucial element of the dynamic that led to the shooting. That’s not saying that there was anything “wrong” in her desire to get LK out. But the fact that she was pressuring MB to get LK out, while he failed to take the normal legal route for months, is a crucial aspect of the situation.

Had that dynamic not resulted in her daughter almost being killed, then yes, I doubt Seeker would think about MHG at all. Along those lines, she’s said many times that she would love to depart the forum if the assault via SM on her daughter would let up.

Are you serious? Why can’t a girlfriend pressure her man to get rid of someone who makes her uncomfortable? I wouldn’t want LK pooing in my sandbox either! Given LKs reprehensible behavior and very sketchy history who wouldn’t want her out?! The fact you don’t realize this just has me shaking my head.

As for the “assault on her daughter” given no ones opinion here is going to change, I guess KK is condemned to an eternity in futility.

As for the mental pain: that pain isn’t caused by anyone here. That pain was caused by her daughter, the architect of a demented plot for revenge fantasy. Plus I’m not susceptible to gaslighting so there’s that.

Re bolded. There is absolutely nothing wrong with MHG pressuring her boyfriend to get rid of LK in a legal way. Nothing wrong. Nothing wrong at all. 100% understandable.

The problem is MBs response to the pressure. Instead of making a choice between MHGs comfort and the fees from LK as a business matter, he tried to have it both ways. That made it extremely unstable.

He moved definitively to get LK out and still she wouldn’t go. Plus the fantasy that it was necessary to wait for that official piece of paper for a 3D chess player to comprehend they are no longer wanted is disingenuous. It’s blatantly obvious this was a game for LK. The heinous game of (admittedly) a narcissist.

I did not get the impression she thought it was a game but more she wanted him to do what was agreed to, he was avoiding her, and it became a very unwise and unhealthy battle of wills

Yeah, he never explained that and rather smugly said he’d slacked off working for weeks. He also testified he wanted to give Michael an invoice for $50,000 and LK wouldn’t let him!!! He didn’t seem too happy about her control.

All the more reason to scratch your head as to why MB did not ask her to leave prior to Aug 5. That just reinforces my point.

I believe he told her umpteen times in umpteen ways, including “get the **** off my property”. I have no doubt that he did. But she had to continue pushing his buttons, calling various agencies with bogus and contrived complaints, egged on by RG who, for some insane reason thought he was owed $50,000, disregarding all rational thought. It came down to I will win at all costs and get my way or we will Finish the Bastard. Lauren doesn’t think about end results. She never has and never will. She thinks in terms of fairy tales and princes and princesses and what she demands in the moment. I guarantee she can not tell you what her expectations were that August other than MHG gone. Then what? Did she think all would be love and roses and a quick road to Olympic glory? I am seriously asking because it’s a serious question that will be discussed in the civil trials.

I think she made it pretty clear that she wanted training from MB directly and she thought he had committed to that.

To me it says he is a nice guy, and also not one to be pressured, he makes up his own mind. Which, again from my perspective, is exactly why LKs actions had the results they did. This is a person who is in control of himself, and probably due to his past trauma, can recognize another person who is struggling (LK). So he gives her some slack, not realizing what she wants it for.
She takes the slack as weakness, not strength. But his is a brittle strength, she yanks, he cracked. End of.

Or did he crack her? She was I think still singing his praises on July 13 when he was writing texts to MHG about making her life so miserable she would leave and he was good at it.

She also testified as to MB’s financial position. He did have a cash flow problem he told her about and it was because he had to come up with the $965,000 for his ex. She testified that the divorce was final in December 2018 and on 3/24/2019 he texted her that after being clipped for $965,000, it was hard to feel good. She also testified he had horses worth approximately $1M and the two places were worth millions, so while he was worth millions he actually did have a cash flow problem at the time.

Which Tarshis stated he’d had before and in the end it was fine.
