I think it’s unfair to disparage someone for what, in your imagination, they “might have done”.

What was suggested were criminal acts. Your continued defense of someone’s willingness to consider engaging in criminal acts against another person is very telling. Especially considering the already lengthy list of charges that have been filed against not just LK and RG, but against mom and dad as well.

I wonder if the civil trial will be revealing actual criminal acts committed against Barisone.

We don’t need criminals, or anyone willing to engage in criminal behavior, in equestrian sports.

LK had zero right to stay in that barn.

Not according to New Jersey tenant law. I base this partly on your explanations of New York tenant law, reading the for the public New Jersey helpful guidelines, and the law segments available online and posted by others all very informative.

After 30 days, they had tenant rights and evictions were to be according to law. Her testified and admitted behavior should have enabled him to evict her under the 3 day section (with time added to get time on a judge’s schedule as explained by yourself and/or others) for being disorderly. The horses could have a 30 day notice to leave.

He gave an unfiled notice, then if not acted on, he could file, then once the time was up and the paperwork signed, have LE evict her.

I would like to see the New Jersey law about “evicting horses from a BARN.”

Yes. Yes… I do doubt this.

LK was on social media and the forums posting about her situation in September of 2019. She was routinely engaging with everyone on these forums right up until she was banned. Her social media went private and quiet during the actual criminal trial, but she got on YouTube almost immediately afterwards… engaging with anyone and everyone. I’m not friends with her on social media, and have no idea what she is saying on her now private accounts…

Anyway… I agree that the ongoing discussion across social media must be agitating and upsetting her. But it’s complicated. She is objectively and obviously an attention seeking person, and even negative attention compels her.

I do not suspect she has any wish to EVER experience a gun shot again. She did go through a horrible physical trauma. My guess is she will avoid conflict in the future that could conceivably get that volatile, and lead to that sort of horror. But battling it out with words on keyboards in a public way? Yeah… she’s not particularly averse to that, from what I can tell, regardless of how harsh the discussion and debate gets.

Frankly, the more combative the discussion on social media is… the more it seems she wants to engage in it… either personally, or via alleged proxies from her personal inner circle.

She awoke from her coma to find herself with the SM hate flinging in full swing.

What really disgusted me is that on the evening of Aug 7, when it was not clear to her family whether she would live or die, and it was not known to people outside her family the identity of possibly fatally shot woman, the SM warriors were arming themselves with screenshots of her SM posts before they could be deleted.

It’s chilling. If she had died, would the haters have refrained from the posthumous assault? I doubt it.

Maybe LK should have thought about SM and her presence there before she decided to “FINISH THE BASTARD”, and how her actions would be received by others on SM.

Yup. MB could have tied the horses to a telephone pole (theoretically speaking). The horses did not have rights. But again, I think he was being a good guy and had the horses’ best interest at heart.

I think that had she known how fragile MBs mental health was, she would have got the heck out. Not to spare him, but to spare herself.

If MHG, JH, RC, and Tarshis didn’t realize the seriousness of his mental fragility, and act on it to protect MB, how do you expect LK to have recognized it? She was just a client, not the girlfriend, psychiatric professional or lawyers friend.

One that the evidence shows she started. She started looking up CPS first. She was the first to have moved. The timeline starts on the 10th, with her actions, that were by their nature the ultimate threat to a parent - their kids.

Again, context being important, on July 12 (day before that test) LK posted a seemingly derogatory post about MHB on Facebook, one that even LK said, in court, could be perceived as threatening.

She also testified as to MB’s financial position. He did have a cash flow problem he told her about and it was because he had to come up with the $965,000 for his ex. She testified that the divorce was final in December 2018 and on 3/24/2019 he texted her that after being clipped for $965,000, it was hard to feel good. She also testified he had horses worth approximately $1M and the two places were worth millions, so while he was worth millions he actually did have a cash flow problem at the time.

That’s not really how the testimony went.

I think she made it pretty clear that she wanted training from MB directly and she thought he had committed to that.

Did she have that in writing? Did she agree to be on time, every time to ride as scheduled? Did she repeatedly waste his time to the point he relegated her to someone else? No instructor appreciates being made to stand around waiting for someone to come ride. In high caliber barns such as Hawthorne Hill, I suspect they have a routine that once the horse is tacked up if the rider doesn’t show up, a trainer must ride unless an agreement has been made that working students can assume that work. If she was frequently a no show, I imagine all the trainers became fed up.

She has stated before the only times she didn’t show up was when she’d been bitten by a brown recluse spider. To my knowledge this excuse has been used at least twice, so she must be pretty attractive to the shy recluse spiders!
