No I could see that coming up as far as a witness. I vaguely remember a dog in court to point out the perp on some TV show

Will the verdict of the criminal trial (or the criminal trial itself) be brought up during the civil trial? I ask this because in the JD/AH trial, the verdict from UK trial between JD and the Sun paper wasn’t allowed to be discussed, but that was a civil case, not a criminal one.

Yes. Clearly we disagree. I choose to respect the court and think the verdict was the best that could be hoped for under these circumstances.

Ironically, there’s a lot of case law that allows a conviction but not an acquittal to be brought up. Whether that applies to NJ, and what that will mean to this case, I don’t know.
