Barisone assessment

It is something that has come up in every thread, so though some posters are feigning the stance that no one cares, they know very well that others don’t like it. Which to me means they do it on purpose just to annoy people.

It sure does. In fact, I mentioned it previously and asked people to stop. Then I put you on ignore for this very reason.

It’s responses like yours quoted here that might be a reason some people don’t think highly of your opinions.

In case any of you - okay, all of you - needed a reminder…

She’s watching what you say.

Visitation is a mixed bag for many in behavioral health. It can cause a lot of agitation, and isn’t always as productive depending on the dynamic. If it causes a patient to be unsettled for three days, having a visit every three days means that patient may struggle to make any forward progress.

This is not, of course necessarily true for all patients. Staffing may dictate how easily the facility can tailor visits for individuals, versus having a blanket policy.

That may have factored in to it but I tend to think she chose Florida because that’s where the majority of the dressage community is based in the winter, and a surprising number now year round.

Does Barisone’s Loxahatchee farm qualify for the exemption, or was that considered not his primary residence?

I’m sure that part of why.
She had a place in SC, correct?
But does SC have this Homestead thing?

Agree! I’m positive they thought MB would be found guilty and sentenced to 20+ years. With that thought they were probably positioning to take over everything he owns in FL and proceed to go after MHG. IM was so positive we all would be eating crow once MB refused the plea deal. Notice how he skaddadled very shortly after the verdict. Karma had a different plan for the Kanareks.

I know you have tried already but an our legal smart posters (@ekat) give a timeline, generic, for how the whole civil thing works.

I think she might have rented in FL if not for the Homestead thing.

Renting Could have avoided ownership, repairs, and renovation costs.
But probably outweighed by the cost of the inability to get along with anyone, long-term

As I recall the testimony, the Loxahatchee farm is mortgaged, so maybe it doesn’t make that much difference if it qualifies for the homestead exemption or not.

Agree. Its juvenile. And that’s telling.
