Barisone assessment

I assume he believed that RG could and would do renovations to the house and barn that would make up for the income lost due to the deeply discounted board / rent deal. Like so many who have been conned by grifters, MB was probably naive and wanted to believe that LK and RG were good, honest people who would hold up their end of the deal.

We’ve all seen the photos of the house in disrepair. We all heard RG testify that he was doing the bare minimum of work at best, and often less than that. At some point there had to have been a discussion about stepping up the work or increasing the board costs. Perhaps that the new paperwork LK had a meltdown about being asked to sign.

Imagine MB’s surprise when LK / RG informed him they also expected to be paid $50k? And is that when LK began her “war” (her words) against him, terrorizing and harassing everyone at the farm? No wonder he wanted to do a background check and find others who had been scammed or hurt by this pair. No wonder he wanted to report her to SadeSport, to prevent anyone else from joining her list of victims.

He took an additional additional large sum of money for jt. He wanted to get all he could from her obviously.

$40k for a horse is not a lot of money.

Here is the pertinent part of the manifesto. Interesting parts are in yellow. Notice: does that say “WRITTEN and recorded”? And she knew he wouldn’t hold up deals because someone told her that? Hmm….what other poster criticized his deals?

It is if he promised her full board and secretly wanted her off property.

Didn’t she show that horse, despite basically telling everyone he was a rescue who needing a safe and loving retirement? If he was at Third or above and able to be shown, he’s worth WAY more than $40k. Another sweetheart deal that LK didn’t seem to appreciate the value of.

OK. I know there are people who like it when HH, Seeker1 and I are QFPd, but is the system stable if I start QFPing everyone else?

If I were to QFP 3 posters, or all posters, do you think trubandloki would QFP my QFP and there’d be an explosion? Are you counting on me to be the bigger person and not QFP her QFP of my posts?

How exactly does it “keep the conversation honest”?

What is a “dirty delete”?

This cannot be said enough. Even if it wouldn’t have been perjury, it’s against the ethics rules and is also just slimy and bad professional behaviour. Anyone who doubts what ST and ED said re: negotiations including JK, is explicitly saying those two legal professionals lied under oath. It may not be a big deal to some random addict with a huge rap sheet, but it is a very big deal to two men who make their livings based upon their professional reputation. It’s huge. Anyone treating it casually is insensitive at best and shows no understanding of this type of professional career.

As for the rest of what’s gone on today, :flushed: I can only say it is a stark illustration of my contention that the other side has made a wise decision to maintain their dignified silence to this day.

Jay-t was doing FEI young riders before your daughter took over the ride. Even if he didn’t “vet” he would most likely be a 6 figure horse, at that level. Get over yourself.

The weirdest part of that manifesto (and so much is weird about it) is that she somehow believed she was the number-one source of income for the business. How on earth did she convince herself of that, given what she was paying for housing and board? Even LK can’t be so delusional as to believe that.

Ok. Care to reveal a number with respect to this claim of demanding additional cash for JT?

I can understand why some posters say $40,000 is not a lot for a horse with JTs training, but… I can also understand why someone like yourself might not agree, and feel that $40,000 for ANY horse is a lot of money. It’s a bit of a subjective and relative thing, in all fairness.

Last question… why did Lauren not mention this second payment for JT when she testified? Or… did I just miss it? In all honesty - I might have missed it. My memory is far from perfect.

Particularly not of Jay-T’s caliber, shivers or not.

If MB is doing the same thing, it would certainly be interesting to compare and contrast the verification of their respective incomes.

She testified to $40k and tried to say that she was doing a favor and tried to add it on to RG’s work. However, RG testified to $40k and it wasn’t part of the work he agreed to. So… :woman_shrugging:

His counter-claim is seeking the same thing, yes. And I think some of those financials might be eye-popping. :open_mouth:

Thank you for sharing this. I had never actually seen the posts referred to as manifestos.

Wow. Seriously. Wow.

Here is the other part of it: notice the use of the words criminal….and recording and keeping track of texts and emails looking…in reference to events that happened in April’19.

Quick review.

Who was the source of the idea that MB was cash poor? Was it somebody who admitted under oath in court to lying a lot?

For the poster(s) that seem to think $2500/month per horse is adequate to cover their stall/feed/hay/shavings.

You are forgetting overhead such as payroll, insurance, utilities, maintenance and upkeep of fencing, arenas (footing), buildings, equipment, supplies, etc., etc., You know, all the costs associated with running a farm, and particularly a high-end boarding/training facility.

Most folks that have run an operation like HH know that $2500 doesn’t come close to covering all the expenses for one horse.

And then of course, there is the fact that LK/RG were getting free accommodations, and the assumption is that MB was also having to absorb the cost of utilities for the farmhouse such as lights, AC, water/sewage (assuming they weren’t on a well and septic tank), and maybe garbage pick-up, plus insurance.

And there were suggestions that the $2500/month also covered farrier expenses.

Furthermore, we don’t know for sure what the deal actually was, because as far as I know, none of the people on this thread were present for the discussions between MB and LK (and possibly JK). For all we know, he may have agreed to $2500/horse on a trial basis plus TEMPORARY use of the apartment until they could arrange for other housing, plus he probably assumed it would be for only TWO horses.

It’s no wonder he got a bit stressed as the summer wore on, and she kept acquiring more horses but not paying more. Not to mention hers and RG’s other “habits.”
