Barisone assessment

He didn’t want to raise the fees. He wanted her and her ilk out and gone.

The thing that continues to astonish me is the obsession with maintaining control.

In my opinion, that’s the motive behind all the posting now. They sense some sort of control over this situation slipping away from them. I don’t know if it’s about the civil case and related discovery and depositions, the upcoming AK hearing, anything related to the 48 hours episode…. Anything else?

But clearly something is up. And they are desperate to get some of their preferred narrative to stick.

All of the above?

Safe Sport/USEF?

I have the feeling they will wait to MB is released and the civil phase is over before making any moves. I don’t think that’s great… but I can understand it.

That’s not what I just said.

I said that if they are out to get him in the here and now, is recognizing that evidence of an ongoing issue with paranoia, or is it simply reality?

I’m asking because I genuinely don’t know - would that be for all the complaints? For example, MHG isn’t part of the civil suit, so could her complaint go forward, or no because LK is!

Sorry if that’s confusing.

I’m no expert, but given how much SafeSport has dragged their feet on other cases… I would guess they will wait on doing anything about Lk until all of the civil matters are done.

Got it. Thank you.

That could drag on for years. How frustrating!

Yup. Incredibly so.

At least there aren’t minors directly impacted by it all in this case. In others where investigations have dragged on… it’s been a little more alarming in that respect

It seems hard to claim you’re (SS) trying to protect minors, when the minors could be adults with a whole new crop of minors behind them by the time you do something. Not trying to turn this already weird thread into an SS debate. Just a thought on timelines.

I am curious now about civil litigation and was looking up the civil case judge to see other cases he handled. There is a recall to judicial service effective 6/9/22 for Judge Louis B. Sceusi for 2 years.

By the time the civil case goes to trial is that enough time for this case to be resolved? Would it go to another judge if it wasn’t so the man can retire if he wants to?

Well, that’s an interesting twist. This is purely a guess, but I imagine it would depend on how far along the case is. If all the parties are ready (or close to ready) for court, they may just extend his service. I think eyeing those dates we know about will give us some clues. First up will be that status conference in October. We may learn something about progress from that.

To be proud of writing such a deranged-sounding, raging rant… and also to have admitted to lying on SM… is just sad. And nothing to be proud of. Not in any way whatsoever. But it does present a window into LK’s state of mind and the entire Finish the Bastard crusade. No lawyer made any of that up.That “stupid, fictitious stuff” was all LK - trying to pin it on Bilinkas is beyond… I was going to say laughable but that is wrong… it is tragically sad. The fact that Seeker was not even aware of it… and thought it was made up by the defense… is even sadder.

Thank you. The civil trial sounds like an interesting case to follow for sure!

@Seeker1 For the most part, I’ve been just a lurker/reader on these threads and many times though I’ve felt strongly on something, I’ve refrained from posting. But, for days, weeks (months?) now I’ve truly wondered why you choose to relentlessly push this barrow of denial alternated with love and light on this particular stage. Read the room, know your audience. The people you are ‘talking’ to have suffered at the hand of LK, they are not just random internet strangers with strong opinions! Imo your engagement here creates a diversion (for you) from the real issue/s faced in your family. Of course, wanting to defend your daughter is a mother’s prerogative but why here when your time and energy could surely be spent in engaging directly with your daughter and constructively trying to help her? Throw your guidance of “being the best self” toward her, advise her, counsel her - not “everyone else”. By your continued responses to those who have directly experienced threats, and the heartbreaking impact of her contriving to destroy someone else’s life, livelihood and personal (private) relationships, you belittle their experiences and their reactions to L’s past tactics. Resting your case on “he shot her” is to blatantly ignore the troubles in her life - her skewed and entitled behavior while simultaneously ignoring her victims.

I read - many times - your harrowing experience of seeing your daughter in such a frightening condition at the hospital. I think - as any mother would - that this must have been an utterly traumatizing and frightening experience - you gained my sympathy in that regard but not my understanding of why it’s so important to you to remain on this pitch.

Really? I seriously have difficulty believing this. Or maybe you visited your daughter there because she’s not allowed at your home? Even after being released from a hospital after being shot and needing a place to recover—why is that?

So, Rob is allowed in your home, but your daughter isn’t?
